Job description
About the Role
This role leads marketing inventory operations at On's primary local hub, ensuring products and samples are accurate, fully tracked and ready for every global activation, event or production shoot. The postholder improves and maintains the systems and standards that underpin inventory management across all marketing functions, establishing complete visibility across the inventory lifecycle from intake and cataloguing through to allocation and returns. Working alongside Studio Production, Events, Seeding and Regional teams, and in close partnership with the Senior Lead, Marketing Operations & GTM Readiness, the role aligns physical inventory timelines and operational handovers with key go-to-market milestones and cross-functional requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the operational management of the primary local inventory location, improving and implementing scalable systems, processes and standard operating procedures.
- Build and maintain a single source of truth for inventory, providing full visibility into location, status, availability and forecasted needs.
- Proactively monitor deliveries and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Coordinate procurement and physical handover workflows in sync with the Senior Lead, Marketing Operations & GTM Readiness, ensuring products are timely and fully available for commercial briefings, e-commerce shoots, global campaigns and seeding initiatives.
- Partner closely with marketing, studio and regional stakeholders to optimise allocation across concurrent initiatives.
- Identify potential conflicts and mitigate risks to production, including with other functions within the organisation that also handle samples and products.
- Oversee the end-to-end inventory lifecycle, from unboxing and cataloguing on receipt to tracking, sending or renting, prompt returns and cleaning.
- Ensure assets are prepared for future use and ready for global activations, events and production shoots.
- Align physical inventory timelines and operational handovers with key go-to-market milestones and cross-functional requirements.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Typically 3+ years of experience in sample or product operations, inventory management or showroom operations.
- Experience building or using inventory or asset management systems and translating operational needs into scalable processes.
- Strong cross-functional stakeholder management, with the ability to interface seamlessly across GTM operations, supply chain and production teams.
- An operational mindset with strong organisational skills, able to identify bottlenecks and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable balancing process development with hands-on operational execution.
- Willingness to carry out hands-on physical tasks such as unboxing, organising and shipping inventory, and navigating multi-level storage spaces using handling equipment such as carts, ladders and dollies during audits and peak handovers.
- Embodies the company's spirit and culture.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working across multi-location hubs.
Workplace
- Requires full-time presence in the Zurich office five days per week, working directly out of the inventory facility to manage daily physical operations.
