How to recognise it
Every request sends this User-Agent header:
GlobalSportsJobBot/1.0 (+https://www.globalsportsjobs.com/crawler)
GlobalSportsJobBot is the product token. A careers site can match that name in robots.txt and in a firewall allowlist. The same header is sent from every environment we run.
What it reads
It requests public career pages and the public job listings linked from them. It does not sign in, submit applications, or send personal data.
How to allow it
If a firewall challenges automated clients, allow requests whose User-Agent contains GlobalSportsJobBot on the careers host. One rule covers every environment, because each of them sends that name.
How to limit it
Add a robots.txt group for User-agent: GlobalSportsJobBot and list the paths it should skip. The crawler obeys that file.
