By creating an account or otherwise using the Services where acceptance of these Terms is required, you agree to be bound by them. You also acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Statement. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.
Our Privacy Statement explains how we process personal information. Our Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies.

Who can use the Services

We do not currently ask for date of birth or operate an age-verification process as part of registration.
If you use the Services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
Accounts and your responsibilities
Some Services require an account. You are responsible for keeping your account information current and your credentials secure, and for activity carried out through your account.
You must not impersonate another person, provide false or misleading information, create accounts for abusive or deceptive purposes, share credentials with unauthorised people or use another person’s account without permission.
Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation or its security has been compromised.
We may investigate, restrict, suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, information is false or misleading, unlawful activity or misuse has occurred, or action is needed to protect users, clients, employers, the Services or our business.
Candidates and professional opportunities
Your profile and participation
If you create a candidate profile, upload a CV, apply for an opportunity or otherwise participate in our talent Services, you authorise us to use your professional information to provide those Services. This can include reviewing your profile, assessing experience and skills, identifying opportunities, preparing candidate summaries or shortlists, recommending you to employers, recruiters and clients, and facilitating professional introductions.
Relevant opportunities may be identified whether or not you have applied for a specific role. Where we reasonably believe there may be a professional fit, we may proactively identify and approach employers, recruiters or clients in connection with you.
You remain responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate, complete and lawful.
Using and sharing Talent Profiles
You grant The Extra Play Limited a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, organise, analyse, reproduce and use information you provide for the purpose of providing, improving and developing the Services.
We may present relevant professional information from your Talent Profile to employers, recruiters and clients where reasonably necessary to provide recruitment, executive search, talent sourcing, workforce planning or professional-introduction Services. This may include your career history, qualifications, experience, skills, achievements and other information relevant to an opportunity.
We may withhold direct contact information until an employer, recruiter or client has expressed genuine interest, or until we consider disclosure appropriate for the relevant Service.
You may ask us not to proactively disclose your profile to your current employer. We will use reasonable efforts to respect that preference, but cannot guarantee that a current employer will never become aware of your participation in the Services.
No guarantee of an outcome
We do not guarantee interviews, introductions, offers, placements, engagements, appointments or any other professional outcome. Recruitment and hiring decisions remain the responsibility of the relevant employer, recruiter or client.
Employers, recruiters and clients
Employers, recruiters and clients may use the Services only for legitimate recruitment, executive search, talent acquisition, workforce planning, advisory and related professional purposes.
If you receive access to candidate information, Talent Profiles or Talent Intelligence, that access is limited, non-exclusive and revocable. You must comply with applicable law, process candidate information lawfully and responsibly, protect it appropriately, respect confidentiality and privacy rights, and use it only for the legitimate purpose for which access was provided.
We may audit, investigate, restrict, suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe misuse has occurred.
- You must not scrape, harvest or automatically extract data from the Services.
- You must not create or enrich external databases using information obtained through the Services.
- You must not use candidate information for unrelated marketing, advertising, lead generation or other commercial purposes.
- You must not sell, license, rent or otherwise commercialise candidate information.
- You must not use information from the Services to build competing products, services or databases.
- You must not circumvent access controls or security measures, or access information beyond your authorisation.
- You must not use candidate information for discriminatory, unlawful or unethical purposes.
- You must not attempt to identify individuals from anonymised, aggregated or de-identified datasets.
GSiE and intelligent services
The Global Sports Intelligence Engine ("GSiE") is proprietary technology developed and operated by The Extra Play Limited. It may support recruitment, executive search, talent sourcing, workforce planning, matching, recommendations, benchmarking, analytics and Talent Intelligence.
GSiE may analyse information made available through the Services, including Talent Profiles, CVs, employment history, qualifications, skills, professional achievements, recruitment activity, platform interactions, employer requirements and workforce information.
It may generate recommendations, rankings, compatibility or suitability assessments, shortlists, opportunity recommendations, benchmarking, workforce or market intelligence, analytics and reports.
GSiE outputs may involve automated analysis and may contain assumptions, inaccuracies or limitations. They are intended to support, not replace, appropriate human review and judgement. Users remain responsible for recruitment, employment, commercial and business decisions.
We may improve, modify, replace or discontinue GSiE or any part of it at any time.
Talent Intelligence
We may create, develop, distribute and commercialise Talent Intelligence products and services, including salary and compensation benchmarking, workforce and hiring trends, skills and talent-availability analysis, recruitment analytics, executive-search intelligence, market intelligence and related insights.
We may create, analyse, modify, distribute and commercialise aggregated, anonymised, statistical, de-identified and derived datasets generated through operation of the Services for research, analytics, benchmarking, reporting, product development, GSiE development, Talent Intelligence, commercial services and strategic planning.
We do not intentionally identify individual users within aggregated or anonymised datasets.
Talent Intelligence outputs, methodologies, reports, models and associated intellectual property remain the property of The Extra Play Limited. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, clients receive a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use supplied outputs for their internal business purposes only and may not resell, republish, sublicense, incorporate them into competing products or use them to train third-party artificial intelligence systems.
Intellectual property and use of our platform
Except for user content owned by users, intellectual property rights in the Services belong to The Extra Play Limited or its licensors. This includes our websites, software, databases, database structures, taxonomies, classification systems, reports, research, analytics, algorithms, GSiE, Talent Intelligence, content, branding, methodologies, know-how and proprietary business processes.
GSiE, its methodologies, models, systems, outputs and associated know-how are proprietary intellectual property and confidential information of The Extra Play Limited. No ownership rights are transferred to users.
You must not reproduce, scrape, harvest, reverse engineer or extract substantial parts of the Services; circumvent technical protections; recreate our functionality or methodologies; use GSiE outputs to train competing systems; create competing databases or products from our information; or otherwise exploit the Services beyond the rights expressly granted to you.
We reserve all rights not expressly granted under these Terms and may take appropriate action to protect our intellectual property, databases, confidential information and technologies.
Fees and paid services
Some Services are free and others may be subject to fees. Charges may apply to services such as job advertising, recruitment, executive search, talent sourcing, subscriptions, employer branding, sponsorship, consulting, Talent Intelligence, benchmarking, education, events and other commercial offerings.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice, fees are non-refundable, late payments may attract interest and reasonable collection costs, and access to paid Services may be suspended where payment obligations are not met.
We may change pricing, fee structures and commercial offerings from time to time. The Global Sports Jobs platform does not take payment or store card details in the product.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict, investigate or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached; false or misleading information has been provided; unlawful, fraudulent or abusive activity has occurred; candidate or confidential information has been misused; intellectual property rights have been infringed; security or platform integrity is at risk; or action is necessary to protect users, clients, employers, candidates or our business.
We may also terminate inactive accounts or discontinue Services. On suspension or termination, access rights may cease, accounts or profiles may be deactivated and access to data may be restricted. We may retain information where permitted or required for legal, regulatory, dispute-resolution, record-keeping or legitimate business purposes, as further explained in our Privacy Statement.
Provisions which by their nature should survive termination, including confidentiality, intellectual property, indemnity and limitations of liability, will continue to apply.
Disclaimers
The Services are provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude warranties, representations and guarantees that are not expressly set out in these Terms.
In particular, we do not guarantee employment, interviews, offers, placements, engagements, recruitment or hiring outcomes; the suitability of a candidate, employer or opportunity; uninterrupted availability; or the accuracy of profiles, recommendations, GSiE outputs or Talent Intelligence outputs.
Users are responsible for their own due diligence and decisions. The Extra Play Limited is not a party to an employment contract, consultancy, contractor relationship, board appointment, advisory relationship or other professional relationship formed between users of the Services.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. If you use the Services as an individual consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights or excludes or restricts liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
For employers, recruiters, clients and other users acting for purposes relating to their trade, business, craft or profession, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, The Extra Play Limited will not be liable for indirect, consequential, incidental or special loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill, reputation, anticipated savings, contracts or data, or for recruitment, employment, hiring, consulting or business outcomes arising from reliance on GSiE or Talent Intelligence outputs.
For employers, recruiters, clients and other business users, to the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of (i) the total fees paid by the relevant business user to The Extra Play Limited in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (ii) £100. This cap does not apply to an individual consumer to the extent that applying it would be unlawful or would limit rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.
Indemnity
Employers, recruiters, clients and other users acting for business purposes agree, to the extent permitted by law, to indemnify The Extra Play Limited and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, consultants, agents, affiliates and representatives against claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs and expenses arising from their breach of these Terms, unlawful or unauthorised use of the Services, misuse of candidate or employer information, infringement of intellectual property rights, unlawful or discriminatory conduct, or violation of applicable law. This indemnity does not apply to an individual consumer merely because they use the Services as a candidate or other private individual.
We may assume control of a matter subject to indemnification and the relevant user agrees to provide reasonable cooperation in its defence.
Confidentiality
Users may obtain access to non-public information relating to candidates, employers, clients, opportunities, commercial arrangements, platform operations, GSiE, Talent Intelligence, future products, proprietary methodologies or our business.
You must protect such confidential information and must not disclose it except where authorised, required by law, or reasonably necessary for legitimate use of the Services. You must use reasonable safeguards to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, misuse or loss.
Changes to the Services and these Terms
We may modify, update, enhance, suspend or discontinue Services from time to time. We may also amend these Terms to reflect legal or regulatory requirements, technological or operational changes, product developments or new Services.
Updated Terms will take effect when stated in the revised version. Where appropriate, we will bring material changes to users’ attention. Continued use of the Services after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those revised Terms where permitted by law.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from or relating to them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Subject to any rights that applicable law gives an individual user to bring proceedings elsewhere, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Services.
Nothing in these Terms prevents us from seeking appropriate urgent or protective relief where necessary to protect intellectual property, confidential information, databases, GSiE, Talent Intelligence or proprietary technologies.
General terms and contact details
If any provision of these Terms is invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Statement and any applicable service-specific agreement, form the agreement relating to your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment relationship or fiduciary relationship between you and The Extra Play Limited.
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign, transfer or novate our rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets or transfer of business operations.
These Terms may be accepted electronically.
