Job description
About the Role
This role acts as the engine of the Workday team, keeping the systems and processes behind key People functions running excellently. It covers performance, learning, benefits, time and absence, and engagement, with a clear path towards owning Workday modules. The position sits within a team of senior specialists who invest in teaching and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute mass data loads (EIBs) for org changes, regular uploads, annual cycles and corrections accurately and audit-proof.
- Run the operational side of quarterly and annual cycles, including performance, calibration, talent and compensation review support.
- Resolve escalated Workday tickets (tier 2) across modules and fix root causes rather than just symptoms.
- Own structured testing for Workday releases and projects, plus data retention and purging routines.
- Implement Workday configuration improvements, starting with simpler changes and developing into ownership of larger areas.
- Support Workday report and dashboard improvements, ensuring appropriate security for every audience and clean data as the basis for insights.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 1–4 years of experience in HRIS, HR systems, HR operations or people analytics.
- Precision with data, including reconciling before publishing and keeping an audit trail by instinct.
- Strong organisational skills and calmness during live cycles; structured, deadline-driven and dependable.
- A service mindset with curiosity, resolving issues properly and spotting patterns worth fixing.
- Clear, confident communication with both technical and business teams, including being adept at training and keeping things simple for end users.
- Ambition to grow into a Workday specialist, with the employer intending to develop the successful candidate.
Preferred Skills
- Workday experience is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Workday configuration, EIBs, security assignments, support and testing.
Benefits & Perks
- A collaborative environment with colleagues from all over the world, including Engineering offices in Europe, Asia and the US, with various social events and teambuilding.
- Flexibility to manage workday and tasks with autonomy.
- A balance of structure and autonomy to tackle daily tasks.
- A vibrant and inclusive community, including Women in Tech and Pride groups which welcome all participants.
- Global Employee Assistance Programme.
- Access to Calm and Relay apps, leading well-being apps designed to support focus, quality rest, mindfulness and long-term mental resilience.
- Online training videos.
- Can be discussed as part time, from 0.8 FTE. Flexible working is how the team operates, and the employer would rather adapt the role than miss the right candidate.
The Application Process
The recruitment process includes an initial screening, two interviews and final steps.
- Initial screening: a quick chat with the Talent Acquisition Partner to understand the candidate's background and expectations.
- Two interviews: meet with the team and Hiring Manager to discuss background and team fit.
- Final steps: receive feedback and, if successful, an offer.
