- Exceptional skills in building relationships and communicating effectively with diverse groups of people across the organisation.
- A solid technical background with the ability to engage deeply with engineering teams in complex technical details, including discussing data flow from client event to dashboard.
- Hands-on experience with dashboarding and business intelligence tools such as Domo, Tableau, or similar platforms, with the ability to define metrics, track programme health, identify trends, and support data-informed decision-making.
- Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to independently interrogate datasets, validate metrics, investigate discrepancies, and translate data into actionable programme insights.
- Working knowledge of modern data architectures, including event instrumentation, data pipelines, batch and streaming systems, data modelling, APIs, schemas, data quality, lineage, and observability, with comfort discussing architecture and technical trade-offs with data and software engineers.
- Experience working with cloud-based data ecosystems and technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka/Kinesis, Spark, Airflow, or comparable platforms.
- Familiarity with data quality, SLAs/SLOs, monitoring, incident management, privacy, access controls, metadata, lineage, and data governance practices.
