About the Role
This is a training role designed to prepare the Sales Trainee for the Account Sales Manager (ASM) role. The role primarily supports sales initiatives and provides route coverage for the ASM during vacation, sickness, injury or special projects as needed. The Sales Trainee works with management to maintain customer relationships between sales, merchandising and operations for all large and small format off-premise stores, and must service all customers in a safe, productive and professional manner in compliance with Red Bull executional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support sales initiatives and provide route coverage for the Account Sales Manager as needed, including during vacation, sickness, injury or special projects.
- Work with management to maintain customer relationships between sales, merchandising and operations for all large and small format off-premise stores.
- Service all customers in a safe, productive and professional manner in compliance with Red Bull executional standards.
- Understand and learn the basics of Red Bull and Red Bull Distribution Company, the brand and products.
- Build and protect the Red Bull brand through proper rotation to ensure fresh product.
- Set proper brand flow following Red Bull standards.
- Establish and maintain friendly and professional relationships with customers to increase sales and selling.
- Obtain all tools, including insights, displays, point of sale and pricing, to execute the daily plan.
- Communicate effectively with ASMs and DSMs on daily priorities and train with ASMs.
- Execute the global strategy for in-store execution as measured by Winning vs Competition (WVC) and Perfect Store Audit (PSA).
- Meet daily KPIs focused on sales, distributions, pricing, display, new accounts and merchandising.
- Support the team with audits, blitz, building of displays and merchandising to effectively drive the sales business.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Valid US driver's licence and obtainment of a DOT Medical card.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds of inventory and/or advertising displays.
- English proficiency.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in customer service and sales is a plus.
- Additional languages are an advantage.
The Application Process
is a training position; upon successful participation in the training programme, the Sales Trainee is eligible to interview for open Account Sales Manager roles.
- Complete the training programme and certification.
- Upon successful participation, become eligible to interview for open Account Sales Manager (ASM) roles.
- If no ASM or otherwise qualified role is available and performance standards are met, remain in the Sales Trainee role for up to 12 months or until an ASM or another qualified role is available, whichever comes first.
- Once an ASM or another qualified role is available, the certified Sales Trainee must interview for that available role.
- If promotion to Account Sales Manager or another role does not happen prior to the expiration of the 12-month completion period, the Sales Trainee role is vacated due to end of assignment unless an exception applies.
- A manager may extend the 12-month completion period by an additional 6 months based on continued high performance, no open roles and certification completion.
