Senior Software Engineer, Global Converse

Is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting technology solutions across Order Management, Warehouse Management, Fulfilment, and Logistics ecosystems. It sits within Global Supply Chain Technology and blends hands-on Java engineering, supply chain domain expertise, systems integration, and technical delivery leadership. The role partners with business, operations, digital, enterprise technology, and external partners to translate complex requirements into secure, scalable, resilient solutions.

• Collaborate with business, operations, digital, and technology partners to translate complex supply chain requirements into scalable technology solutions.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support capabilities spanning order orchestration, inventory management, warehouse operations, fulfilment, shipping, returns, and logistics execution.
• Provide hands-on engineering and technical leadership across order management capabilities, Manhattan WMS, SAP AFS/ERP, Multi-Channel Fulfilment, and supporting integrations.
• Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java and modern engineering frameworks, with a focus on clean, reusable, testable, and supportable code.
• Design APIs, microservices, event-driven integrations, and real-time data flows across OMS, WMS, ERP, and external partner ecosystems.
• Lead technical analysis, solution design, data mapping, system interoperability, testing strategy, deployment planning, and production-readiness activities.
• Analyse and optimise the order lifecycle, inventory flows, omnichannel routing, warehouse processes, fulfilment execution, and inventory visibility, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, observable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and engineering standards.
• Lead technical workstreams and coordinate delivery across engineering teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners, including timelines, dependencies, risks, and decisions
• Facilitate requirements workshops, design reviews, testing activities, incident reviews, and deployment planning across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, lead root-cause analysis, and drive permanent corrective and preventive actions for business-critical systems; communicate technical recommendations, delivery status, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to engineering, business, and leadership audiences.
• Support operational enhancements and strategic supply chain transformation programmes across North America and global markets, and identify and responsibly apply automation and AI-enabled engineering approaches that improve delivery speed, platform reliability, and operational decision support.

• Strong hands-on Java software engineering experience delivering and operating enterprise applications in production, including advanced Java development, enterprise application design, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Deep understanding of supply chain processes, including Order Management Systems (OMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory, fulfilment, logistics, and order lifecycle management.
• Experience designing APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, integration patterns, and real-time or near-real-time data flows, including integration platforms, data mapping, and transformation.
• Ability to connect operational requirements with scalable technical designs and communicate assumptions, dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs.
• Experience leading technical analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support across complex initiatives.
• Strong programme execution skills, including workstream planning, dependency management, risk management, and coordination with external partners.
• Experience working directly with business and operations teams in a dynamic, high-priority delivery environment.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms, containerised applications, modern integration frameworks, automation, observability, and production support practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, operate through ambiguity, and maintain accountability for high-quality delivery.
• 7+ years of software engineering, enterprise application development, systems integration, or related technology delivery experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; any suitable combination of education, experience, and training will be accepted.
• Experience with order management, warehouse management, fulfilment, logistics, inventory, or related retail supply chain technologies.
• Experience owning complex technical work from problem framing and solution design through deployment, operational adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with product, business, operations, architecture, security, infrastructure, engineering, and external technology partners.

• 10+ years of software engineering, enterprise application development, systems integration, or related technology delivery experience for candidates with broad enterprise solution leadership experience.
• Retail, footwear, apparel, consumer products, or omnichannel commerce experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale supply chain transformation initiatives and business-critical operational platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud services, container orchestration, CI/CD, observability, modern integration frameworks, and automation technologies.
• Exposure to Generative AI, AI-assisted engineering, agentic workflows, or intelligent automation.
