App Developer - AI/ML

This role focuses on building and optimising cutting-edge applications powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning. The developer will join a talented, forward-thinking team working with the latest tools and technologies to develop scalable, high-performance AI/ML-powered applications.

• Design, develop, and maintain AI/ML-powered applications that enhance core services and customer-facing products.
• Integrate AI/ML models into mobile and web applications, ensuring seamless cross-device performance, scalability, and reliability for millions of users.
• Build and optimise mobile and web interfaces for AI-powered features such as personalised content recommendations, intelligent search, and dynamic content creation.
• Implement end-to-end app solutions incorporating data pipelines, machine learning models, and real-time data processing.
• Optimise, monitor, and troubleshoot AI/ML models for high-performance deployment, reducing latency, improving user experience, applying techniques such as transfer learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning, and contributing to model versioning, rollback strategies
• And production performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, business teams, software engineers, data scientists, and AI architects to align AI features with customer needs, business objectives, and technical architecture.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate technical challenges and solutions to non-technical stakeholders and business leaders.
• Stay current with AI/ML trends, tools, and technologies, experimenting with new frameworks and methods to improve application functionality and performance.
• Evaluate AI-powered application performance, resolve issues, refine features based on user feedback and testing, and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in app development with a strong focus on integrating AI/ML technologies.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML application development, including model integration, real-time inference, and deployment.
• Proficiency in developing mobile and web applications using modern development frameworks (e.g., React Native, Swift, Kotlin, Django, Flask).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and integrating AI models within cloud-native applications.
• Experience with AI/ML libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and Scikit-learn, with the ability to optimise and scale models in production.
• Deep learning frameworks: experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX for training and fine-tuning models.
• Generative models: knowledge of transformers (GPT, BERT, LLaMA), diffusion models (Stable Diffusion, DALL·E), and VAEs.
• Prompt engineering: ability to craft effective prompts and optimise LLM responses.
• Model fine-tuning and optimisation: experience in LoRA, PEFT (Parameter Efficient Fine-Tuning), and RLHF (Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback).
• NLP and computer vision, depending on the application (text, images, or multimodal AI).
• Frontend technologies: React, Next.js, and Vue.js for web apps; Swift/Kotlin for mobile apps.
• Backend development: Node.js, Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django), or Go for API development.
• Database management: NoSQL (MongoDB, Firebase) and SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• API integration: experience with OpenAI API, Anthropic, Hugging Face, Google Gemini, etc.

• Specialised certifications in AI/ML or app development technologies.
