- Partner with Design, Product Management, PCC, Sourcing, Colour Quality, Operations and Manufacturing Partners to align priorities, resolve issues and maintain development momentum.
- Identify and mitigate colour, performance, quality and commercialisation risks; lead root-cause analysis, exception management and corrective actions when needed.
- Ensure relevant testing and colourfastness validation are completed for the intended end use and that approvals meet Product Creation Calendar and Buy Ready milestones.
- Own accurate colour-development records, trackers and stakeholder reporting; use analytics and dashboards to identify trends, bottlenecks and opportunities.
- Drive digitalisation of colour workflows, lab-dip tracking, approvals and standards, and explore responsible AI applications for prediction, matching optimisation and workflow automation.
- Influence through technical expertise and data-driven recommendations, while mentoring teammates, sharing best practices and supporting supplier capability improvement.
- Use technical expertise, data and digital tools to improve predictability, manage risk and deliver Buy Ready milestones.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Textile, Colour Science, Chemistry, Apparel or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
- 5+ years of relevant colour development, textile colouration or apparel product creation experience.
- Strong understanding of colour science, dyeing technologies, spectrophotometry, colour standards, lab-dip evaluation and colourfastness requirements.
- Experience with PLM, DataColor, Natific or equivalent colour-development systems, plus proficiency in Excel, Tableau or similar analytics tools.
- Strong project management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to mentor others and manage multiple seasons and priorities.
- Technically strong, curious and collaborative, with the ability to lead complex apparel colour development from concept through commercialisation.
- Deep knowledge of colour science, dyeing technologies, colour standards and colourfastness, combined with sound judgement, clear communication and independent problem-solving.
- Comfortable managing multiple seasonal priorities, identifying risk early and influencing cross-functional and vendor partners with data-driven recommendations.
- Continuous-improvement mindset and enthusiasm for digital transformation, including the use of analytics, connected systems and responsible AI-enabled solutions to improve colour prediction, matching, tracking and workflow efficiency.
