About the Role
Is the lead technical program manager for indirect procurement within Global Procurement Technology at the India Technology Centre, reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering. It owns end-to-end programme strategy for Source-to-Pay solutions and coaches TPMs who execute roadmaps for individual product areas. The position works closely with senior TPMs, engineers, architects, analysts, business partners, core ERP teams, engineering, security, enterprise architecture, and external SaaS vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the vision and roadmap for enterprise Source-to-Pay and procurement technology supporting global indirect procurement operations.
- Own end-to-end programme strategy for S2P solutions and coach TPMs who execute roadmaps for individual product areas.
- Own product vision and roadmap articulation, portfolio prioritisation, programme governance, and delivery cadence across scrum teams.
- Lead portfolio-level prioritisation with procurement, finance, and technology leaders, balancing demand, risk, cost, and capability, and drive decisions to clear commitments.
- Translate strategic intent into phased delivery plans, success metrics, and well-scoped backlogs, guiding teams on out-of-the-box SaaS use versus justified extensions.
- Facilitate workshops and design discussions at portfolio level, and validate requirements and solution approaches.
- Mentor and develop TPMs and senior engineers on delivery execution, stakeholder engagement, and programme governance.
- Partner with ERP, security, enterprise architecture, and external SaaS vendors to align solutions with Nike standards, integration patterns, and long-term platform direction.
- Establish programme health metrics, release readiness criteria, and escalation paths so teams deliver predictably across regions.
- Anticipate regulatory, audit, and operational needs such as SOX, data residency, and vendor SLAs, and embed them in roadmap planning; partner with procurement leadership to deliver scalable, audit-ready capabilities worldwide.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years in software engineering, technical program management, or product delivery with a strong focus on procurement processes and platforms, including hands-on experience integrating multiple indirect procurement tools with SAP (ECC and S/4HANA).
- Demonstrated leadership of TPMs or cross-functional delivery teams across P2P and S2P products, SaaS-based procurement systems, and ERP master and transactional data flows.
- Expertise in integration strategy—source-to-target mapping, payload design, transformations, and patterns spanning APIs, events, batch/file, and middleware—with ability to guide architects and engineers.
- Proficiency with portfolio and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Lucid (or equivalents); experience defining prioritisation frameworks and operating rhythms for global programmes.
- Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to synthesise complex technical and process topics for business, engineering, and vendor audiences.
- Comfort leading in a fast-paced, results-oriented, global environment with competing priorities and ambiguous problem spaces.
- Strong collaboration skills and a growth mindset: develops others, models curiosity, and drives continuous improvement across teams and vendors.
- Proven ability to define multi-horizon roadmaps, lead TPMs, and influence senior business and technology stakeholders in a global enterprise.
Workplace
- Based in Bangalore, India.
- Applications are welcome from candidates currently residing in Bangalore as well as those willing to relocate.
