Job description
About the Role
The Brand Assurance Representative reviews and processes all submissions for Global Experiences — including design, 3D sculpts, graphics and signage — featuring Warner Bros.-owned properties such as Looney Tunes, DC, Harry Potter and The Wizard of Oz, as well as certain third-party-owned theatrical properties. Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences extends the Studio's portfolio of entertainment brands and franchises into the lives of fans worldwide, partnering with best-in-class partners on theme parks, studio tours, hotels, location-based entertainment and dining.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of and shepherd all submissions entered into STAR Labs through each stage of development, from concept to final, including 2D/3D experience design, graphics, 3D sculpts, pop-up displays and costumes.
- Act as Document Controller for STAR Labs and Box.com, routing approvals and comments to all relevant team members, ensuring consistency in naming conventions and folder structure, and working closely with the Creative team to streamline communication, approvals and project organisation.
- Route logos, ride names and similar items through Legal and keep a running spreadsheet of Legal approvals.
- Review physical and digital samples with Creatives to guarantee compliance with guidelines and to ensure the creative execution elevates and upholds the integrity of the brands.
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing timelines and the experience development process to provide meaningful and detailed feedback on concept, pre-production and final samples, serving as a legal record under the contract with licensees.
- Secure all necessary talent and third-party approvals on all evergreen properties.
- Keep abreast of all updates to franchise guidelines, legal and company policy modifications, system upgrades and process or procedure changes.
- Provide data in the form of reports from STAR Labs to management, legal and trademarks when requested.
- Provide initial support to licensees on issues they may encounter with STAR Labs, escalating as needed to STAR Labs Support, and provide STAR Labs and Box training and support to new licensees and new third-party approvers.
- Apply independent thinking and problem solving, alongside knowledge of Warner Bros.
- Global Experiences policies and procedures and licensees' processes and limitations, to arrive at alternative solutions that benefit the licensee while protecting the company legally.
- Support the Design team on creative brainstorms by providing guidance on legal and company policies and franchise guidelines without stifling creative discussion, and help the Design team unpack and sort the pre-production and contractual samples shipped to the company.
