Yard Jockey (Sun-Wed, 6pm-4:30am)

The Yard Jockey safely handles, operates and manoeuvres trucks and trailers in the yard, repositioning them as needed and moving trailers to designated docks for loading and unloading as directed by the leadership team. The role also involves operating assigned powered industrial trucks, such as forklifts and stand-up order pickers, to move product around the distribution centre. The position sits within the Supply Chain & Sourcing team and works closely with the leadership team and other internal departments.

• Operate yard trucks and other vehicles safely, following all safety rules and demonstrating professional command of the equipment
• Manoeuvre and reposition trucks and trailers in the yard as required
• Move trailers to designated docks for loading and unloading as directed by the leadership team
• Operate assigned powered industrial trucks (PIT), including forklifts, stand-up order pickers/cherry pickers and other powered equipment, to move product around the distribution centre
• Pick and put away product efficiently and accurately as assigned by the supervisor
• Inspect equipment and verify and report damage or concerns
• Run and print basic reports and identify and communicate exceptions to the leadership team
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and accurately record production by task, completing any necessary paperwork
• Work overtime as needed and train and work flexibly across multiple areas
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and carry out other duties as assigned

• High School diploma
• At least three (3) months' experience operating a yard truck and/or spotting trailers in a fast-paced environment
• Six (6) months' previous experience operating forklifts
• Experience operating tractor trailers
• Ability to attain an adidas certification to safely operate any assigned powered equipment, including but not limited to order picker, turret truck, reach truck, powered pallet jack and sit-down forklift
• Basic maths skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language
• Ability to safely operate a yard truck to manoeuvre trailers around a crowded yard
• Ability to talk or hear, sit, stand or walk, and use fingers, hands, arms and feet to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push and pull for up to ten (10) hours per day
• Ability to work safely at high levels, upwards of thirty-five (35) feet
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
• Ability to reliably attend work and scheduled hours
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment as noted above
• Occasional requirement to sit; bend, twist, climb or balance; lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds; and stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl

• Front half nights shift: Sunday to Wednesday, 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM
• Warehouse environment with varying temperatures

• $24 per hour
