Retail Assistant

This retail role supports the store in delivering excellent visual presentation of the club's merchandise and consistent, exceptional customer service to all visitors. The role involves welcoming guests, helping them navigate the shop floor, processing purchases, replenishing stock, and taking proactive measures to prevent stock loss. The team aims to ensure guests leave having had an excellent store experience that keeps them returning.

• Support the store in achieving excellent visual presentation of the club's merchandise.
• Deliver consistent exceptional customer service to all visitors.
• Welcome visitors, assist with queries such as locating items or advising on sizing, and ensure guests have an excellent store experience that encourages them to return.
• Maintain knowledge of the shop floors to direct guests appropriately.
• Process purchases at the cash register.
• Replenish stock and handle shipping and receiving orders in store.
• Take proactive measures to prevent stock loss.
• Embody the club's BLUE behaviours (Brave, Lead, Unity, Edge) and adhere to club policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and GDPR.
• Act as an ambassador for diversity, equality and inclusion, treat others fairly, and report any acts of discrimination through appropriate channels.
• Create a safe environment and protect young people and vulnerable adults, reporting safeguarding concerns to the Safeguarding Lead and any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the HR Department.

• A passion for Chelsea and/or love for sport.
• Basic maths knowledge (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to work on a shift basis, as well as weekends and matchdays.
• Successful applicants must complete a DBS Check prior to starting employment; depending on the role, other child protection screening may also be required.

• Experience within customer service and/or retail.
• Ability to accomplish multiple tasks and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment and provide excellent customer service.
