About the Role
This role leads footwear design within Streetwear Looks of Jordan, building industry-leading innovative designs from concept to reality. The designer works hand-in-hand with a large cross-functional project team including engineers, researchers, scientists, marketing, testing, sustainability, materials and costing professionals, while collaborating within the wider design community. The position works under the direction of the Senior Director, Streetwear Looks of FW Product Design, Global Jordan, and is reviewed by directors from other functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build industry-leading innovative footwear designs, from concept to reality.
- Explore new opportunities and take risks to push the possibilities of human potential through footwear and beyond.
- Engage with project teammates on research, insight gathering and problem solving around performance and manufacturing.
- Work with athletes to deliver measurable performance benefits matched with iconic design.
- Craft a broad range of creative and appealing solutions that are sustainable and considerate of cost.
- Participate in and present work at informal and formal design reviews.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director, Streetwear Looks of Jordan.
- Act as a team leader and mentor for other designers.
- Collaborate within the design community, including industrial designers, materials, colour, graphics and computational specialists.
- Lead and drive partnerships beyond the design function, including marketing, engineering and development.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or a related field; any suitable combination of education, experience and training will be accepted.
- Six or more years' experience designing and developing innovative footwear and other products.
- Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives.
- Experience in technical footwear design.
- Strong connection to streetwear culture, music and art that is evident in the portfolio.
- Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills.
- Must be able to build accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs).
- Strong sketching, illustration and rendering skills.
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Must be able to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project.
- Experienced with presentation programs such as Keynote, PowerPoint and Acrobat.
- Positive personality and energy.

- Motivated and hardworking about bringing others along.
- Collaborator with a skill in connecting the dots.
Preferred Skills
- Cobbling and prototyping skills.
- Experience with 3D design programs.
