Lead Designer, Kids Footwear Product Design, Global Jordan

The Lead Footwear Designer helps lead and develop seasonal design concepts for Jordan Kids Footwear, working from concept through final design. The role sits within the Jordan Kids Footwear Design team and collaborates with the Product Director, Kids, and category Product Management partners to create footwear across Jordan Kids, from streetwear to performance. The designer champions a culturally connected point of view, with emphasis on product design integrity, forward-thinking innovation, industry-leading quality, and product performance.

• Lead and develop seasonal design concepts for Jordan Kids Footwear from concept through final design.
• Work closely with the Product Director, Kids, and category Product Management partners to create groundbreaking footwear across Jordan Kids, from streetwear to performance.
• Lead or participate in key Brand and Footwear initiatives from design through execution and bring seasonal creative direction to life through Kids Footwear design, future-forward trends, and innovation.
• Champion a culturally connected point of view emphasising product design integrity, forward-thinking innovation, industry-leading quality, and product performance.
• Use design versatility to create visually compelling and industry-leading product through deeply resonant stories across the Jordan Kids Footwear landscape, from sport performance to sport lifestyle.
• Leverage design skills and creative problem-solving to develop innovative product solutions that elevate the experience and deliver meaningful benefits to young athletes, consumers, and communities.
• Explore new opportunities, take risks, and change the game.
• Collaborate with project teammates on research and insights, problem-solve around style, performance, and manufacturing, and engage with young athletes and consumers.
• Craft a broad range of creative solutions that consider cost and accessibility.
• Participate in and present work through informal and formal design reviews, helping drive concepts from early exploration through execution.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or a related field; any suitable combination of education, experience, and training will be accepted.
• 5–7 years of relevant work experience designing and developing innovative footwear and other products.
• Previous footwear design experience.
• Strong passion for and knowledge of footwear product creation.
• Ability to problem-solve every step of the way, from concept through final design.
• Ability to build accurate 2D technical drawings and tech packs.
• Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into meaningful product solutions and narratives.
• Experience in technical footwear design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and comfort working within new digital spaces.
• Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills.
• Solid knowledge of footwear manufacturing processes and materials.
• Ability to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project.
• Experience with presentation programmes including Keynote, PowerPoint, and Acrobat.
• Curious observer, eager participant, and cultural sponge, seeking insights to solve problems.
• Positive energy and contribution to a strong team environment.

• Performance footwear design experience.
• 3D design skill set using Gravity Sketch, Rhino, Blender, or other 3D software.
• Cobbling and prototyping skills.
