Sr. Manager, Product Supply Operations Footwear Costing

The Sr. Manager Footwear Costing maintains current costing initiatives and supports HQ and Asia costing leads in driving new and effective strategies to ensure Under Armour remains highly competitive in the marketplace. The role drives communication with Asia UA and factory costing counterparts to provide costing information in line with the calendar timeline, and partners with HQ development, Product Line Managers, Engineering and the Materials team on costing suggestions.

• Utilise manufacturing and product knowledge to achieve the Footwear division target margin, and impart this knowledge to cross-functional team members and direct reports.
• Lead a team of 2-3 teammates focused on specific product categories.
• Ensure that concerns and challenges around product costs are addressed to the leadership team throughout target margin setting to final cost approval.
• Provide, maintain and lead footwear margin reviews at each calendar milestone to ensure alignment across the functional team for target margin achievement.
• Work collaboratively cross-functionally with Product Line Managers, Development, Design, UA Sourcing/Costing and factory counterparts in Asia through the product creation and development process to maximise costing opportunities.
• Partner with Finance, Merch Planning and Product Line Managers to set up long-range plans and seasonal target margins, and ensure the POD follows the costing policy from product brief to final confirmation.
• Increase awareness and understanding of the costing process within the organisation through effective communication.
• Ensure costing standards, policies and practices are followed accurately from start to finish while following established timelines and calendars.
• Embrace and support manufacturing excellence, concepts and successes across the Asia Footwear manufacturing platform.
• Create and maintain the tooling tracking report at each milestone, following up with leaders, development and product line managers on any impact over the division target margin or FOBs.
• Facilitate and monitor cost action plans, verify achievement of cost targets, and assist in the continuous improvement and maintenance of a global cost engineering process.

• Bachelor's degree.
• 6-10 years of related industry experience in supply chain, sourcing, merchandising, or accessories/apparel/footwear manufacturing.
• Understanding of product creation processes (materials/colour, design, development, sourcing, costing) and how they impact the supply chain.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Negotiation and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency in web-based PLM and data visualisation systems such as Tableau, Centric and Trasix.

• The individual must reside within commuting distance of the global headquarters in Baltimore, MD.
• Return To Work designation: 4 days a week in-office (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), with work from home on Friday.
