Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, validate and refresh product data assets, recurring reports and scorecards across merchandising systems and seasonal business reviews.
- Perform data quality checks and reconciliations, document missing, inconsistent or inaccurate information and coordinate follow-up; support product data classification and standardisation from initial code setup through seasonal execution.
- Analyse sales trends, product performance, historical results, buy-plan variances, risks and opportunities, translating findings into concise business commentary for merchandising reviews.
- Support recurring scorecard reporting, OBR, hindsight and analysis for key merchandising events by preparing accurate data, identifying patterns and surfacing relevant insights.
- Assist with seasonal margin checks and analysis informing MSRP recommendations, promotional guidance and related product and channel logic.
- Support merchandising tools and workflows by testing system logic, documenting functional issues and partnering with technology teams or vendors to improve data quality and usability.
- Support sample-management activities, including order tracking, budget inputs, logistics coordination, inventory visibility and the sample-borrowing process, as assigned.
- Gather and document Greater China business requirements, user feedback and data needs; support testing, issue tracking, communication and local adoption of global tools and initiatives, escalating gaps or risks with clear supporting detail.
- Help translate merchandising strategy into accurate downstream product and channel requirements, including product attributes, assortment rules, pricing and promotional guidance and order-collection needs.
- Maintain documentation for data definitions, recurring processes, reporting logic, usage guidelines and standard operating procedures
- Prepare practical communications, reference materials and training support
- Identify repeatable manual work and contribute to standardised, automated or analytical solutions
- Support Game Plan gates, calendars, workback timelines, system dependencies and cross-functional integration across seasonal merchandising workflows.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Strong analytical discipline and detail orientation, with the ability to clean, validate, interpret and synthesise complex product and business data while protecting data accuracy, quality and completeness.
- Proactive problem-solving approach: investigate issues, identify patterns, recommend practical next steps and follow through on recurring deliverables with appropriate guidance.
- Business curiosity and desire to understand how merchandising strategy, product performance, data, systems and seasonal milestones connect to business outcomes.
- Collaborative communication skills across functions, with the ability to ask clear questions, document requirements and make analytical or technical topics understandable to business partners.
- Organised and adaptable, able to manage multiple seasonal priorities, maintain reliable routines and adjust as business needs evolve.
- English proficiency for effective written and spoken communication in a Greater China business environment.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong PowerPoint skills.
- Comfort working with detailed product data, learning merchandising processes and systems, and turning complex information into clear, actionable outputs.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Merchandising, Retail or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data visualisation, scripting or automation tools such as Tableau, Python, VBA or similar tools.
- Experience in merchandising analytics, product insights, retail analytics, business intelligence, merchandising operations or a related analytical role.
