Junior Trader

Sits within the Football Trading team, part of the Club's Football Betting business, one of the largest bookmaking operations in the world. It contributes to the development, pricing and risk management of sports betting markets, ensuring competitive and responsible offerings that align with the Club's business objectives. The role involves working across a wide range of sporting events, including both pre-match and in-play markets.

• Formulate and communicate odds for events, including compiling odds and communicating odds and information.
• Maximise profitability of event betting and monitor customer activity in relation to profitability by identifying and executing price changes across all markets.
• Analyse football betting profitability and trading performance, and monitor customer performance for immediate trends and long-term profitability patterns.
• Report on market and/or product profitability and recommend action to improve the business.
• Conduct customer analysis and research by analysing customer data to identify trends and insights, and categorising customers into different types.
• Conduct comprehensive research to understand industry shifts, customer preferences and product profitability.
• Execute projects aimed at addressing specific business questions or challenges.
• Report findings and make recommendations to enhance customer engagement and business strategies.
• Ensure compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, protecting the integrity of the Club's businesses.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Bachelor degree with strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Computer literacy and capability in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Extensive knowledge of major sports.
• Knowledgeable about major sports and able to explain odds.
• Ability to stay calm and concentrate for long periods of time under pressure.
• Flexibility and ability to work the hours required, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Fresh graduates will be considered.

• Relevant experience in the sports betting industry with prior exposure to sports trading management and fixed-odds markets compilation.
• Good working knowledge of major sports.
