Intern, Supply Chain Quality

This is a 6-month full-time internship within Under Armour's Supply Chain Quality function, based at designated factories. The intern works alongside Field QA and CFA teams, progressively building knowledge of production stages, quality standards and inspection processes for apparel, accessories and footwear. Training is structured in phases, moving from general quality duties to footwear-specific processes and, later, to support for the PPIC department.

• Gain a solid understanding of the eight stages of production, including related procedures, processes and inspection requirements.
• Develop thorough knowledge of Under Armour quality standards for apparel, accessories and footwear, and learn to inspect these products properly in line with inspection procedures and standards.
• Apply Under Armour requirements and procedures, with particular focus on the Vendor Guide, Production & Logistics Manual (PLM) and Quality Manual, and use the Pivot88 inspection system for quality evaluation and reporting.
• Participate in PTH audits and CFA in-line correlation audits, including their objectives and execution, and develop the ability to train factory personnel on Under Armour quality standards and procedures.
• Improve professional communication skills in order to communicate with factories clearly, effectively and confidently.
• Arrange own rental accommodation during assignments at designated factories.
• Together with Field QA, monitor sewing quality against Under Armour high-quality standards through in-line inspection and follow up improvements, providing reports and corrective action presentations.
• Together with Field QA/CFA, monitor folding and packaging procedures and standards, conduct pre-final and final inspections using Pivot88, conduct PP meetings with product risk assessment review, and conduct CFA in-line correlation audits.
• After 1.5–2 months of field training, check and monitor fabric inspection (4-point system, colour continuous, shade-band, blanket, fabric weight, Spectro reading and fuse interlining), trim and accessories, laboratory testing, embellishment (HTL, printing and embroidery), and spreading and cut panel
• Including procedures, standards and reporting.
• For footwear, check incoming material and ensure all material has passed laboratory testing before use in production, and ensure the cutting process follows best practice.
• Check preparation and second process PFC and best practice of the upper, including test results, and check the stitching process against PFC and best practice.
• Check the bottom process (rubber, injection phylon, CMP, EVA) before the stock fitting process, check the stock fitting process, and check and monitor the assembly process.
• Check the bonding process and laboratory test results, and evaluate every model and each hour of shoe quality at the finishing line against Under Armour quality standards.
• Provide PPT presentations covering all the above points and present them to related departments.
• Assist the PPIC department with making packing lists and shipping status, calculating fabric consumption, and inventory control of packaging material.

• Bachelor's degree from any major; fresh graduates are welcome.
