Project Employee, NBA Social Content – Emerging Content

This position is part of the NBA Social & Digital Content team, which focuses on identifying, creating, distributing and publishing content to the NBA's social and digital platforms and its many domestic and international partners around the world. The role supports the Social Content Lead with content planning, research and publishing on emerging platforms as demand for content on the NBA's social platforms continues to grow. The team operates in a fast-paced, innovative and collaborative environment, reaching social followers globally.

• Assist the Social Content Lead with content planning around emerging platforms.
• Assist with developing decks focused on emerging media-related projects.
• Research trends related to emerging platforms and the future of social content consumption, and share insights.
• Publish content by uploading video, still imagery or text-based posts with copy, tags and any additional publishing details to platforms that may include Reddit, Discord or upcoming emerging platforms.
• Publish real-time content and schedule content as required.
• Assist with similar publishing responsibilities on additional NBA social platforms when needed.

• Expert-level knowledge of the NBA, with a strong understanding of the storylines surrounding its players, coaches and teams, statistics, standings, the history of the league and the league's calendar of events.
• Watches and consumes NBA basketball content on a daily and nightly basis.
• Strong editorial background in basketball, basketball culture and other extensions of the game.
• Good understanding of the NBA's social voice.
• Ability to work to deadline and handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approach, and to perform in a fast-paced environment while handling critical tasks.
• Ability to execute detailed feedback.
• Strong communication, organisation and project management skills.
• Must be a team player who can work collaboratively.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, as the position may include working days, nights, weekends and holidays based on the NBA calendar.

• Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field.
• Knowledge of the latest trends and news about emerging media and the future of social content consumption.
• Active participation in NBA discussion and growing communities on platforms such as Reddit, Discord and Threads.
• Personal immersion in NBA podcasts, message boards and short and long form content about the NBA.
