Job description
About the Role
This role sits within the Platform squad, working on next-generation, fully automated sports cameras that use edge AI to track action and upload to the cloud, giving customers access to real-time video and insights. The Platform squad builds the foundation hardware teams rely on, including build systems, tooling, update pipelines and security processes that take cameras from development through manufacturing and into the field. As the next-generation hardware platform is brought up, the role helps shape how it is built, tested, shipped and kept secure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support hardware squads by integrating their work into CI/CD pipelines so every change is built, tested and delivered reliably.
- Build and improve development tools that engineers use daily to build, flash, debug and test devices.
- Maintain CI/CD infrastructure, including regression testing that runs in manufacturing.
- Roll out software updates to customers' cameras safely and predictably.
- Provide tooling for contract manufacturers to flash, provision and test devices on the production line.
- Work autonomously within a squad, with the freedom and expertise to deliver the best solution.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Experience working with Yocto, including building and customising images.
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub Actions, GitLab or Jenkins), including build automation and automated testing.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable tools and automation in Bash and Python.
- Comfort with Docker and Linux system administration.
- Ability to work fluently with AI coding tools and critically evaluate their output.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with over-the-air update frameworks.
- Experience building flashing, provisioning or end-of-line test tooling for production environments.
- Experience with SoC vendor BSPs, flashing tools or secure boot on embedded platforms.
- Comfort reading and debugging C/C++ code, from user space down to kernel drivers.
- Experience identifying, triaging and resolving security vulnerabilities in embedded Linux systems.
Workplace
- Regular in-office collaboration with teammates is expected.
- Applicants within commuting distance of Den Bosch are currently being considered.
- Is expected to work more days in-office than remote, with freedom to coordinate the specific in-office schedule with the team.
Salary
- Base salary range: €51.000—€85.000 EUR.
- Starting salaries will typically fall near the middle of this range.
- Compensation decisions are based on an individual's experience, skills and education in line with internal pay equity practices.
Benefits & Perks
- Flexible vacation time above any required statutory leave, company-wide holidays, remote work options and more.
- Paid sabbatical every five years to unplug and recharge.
- Autonomy and trust from day one, with team support, ownership of work and agency to try new ideas.
- Professional development resources and opportunities to keep growing.
- Offices designed with employees in mind, with tech provided for office or remote work.
- Medical and retirement benefits for employees depending on location.
- Employee Assistance Program and employee resource groups to support mental health.
