QA Engineers

This role sits within the Agile Software Engineering team at adidas's technology hub in Zaragoza, which provides the technical solutions behind the fast-growing adidas digital business. The team creates the vision, designs, builds and operates everything related to the digital B2C business, from online stores for all markets across web and app and digital marketing to internal solutions and product creation lifecycle tools. The role forms part of a highly engaged, multinational team building game-changing software products, where the consumer is at the core of everything the team does.

• Co-work with the QA Chapter Lead to ensure QA standards and strategy are implemented and QA KPIs remain on track.
• Lead end-to-end initiatives from a testing point of view as senior test manager, designing the best strategy and approach for business requirements in collaboration with other teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the product team to produce acceptance criteria and test cases for multiple scenarios, challenging assumptions, considering how different users might interact with a proposed solution and identifying edge cases.
• Provide guidance and technical leadership in an agile environment to create fully automated test environments, including for less experienced members of the team.
• Work with developers to ensure sufficient test coverage for various features through automation at different levels, designing and implementing QA automation strategies for API and UI testing and ensuring automated test activities are preferred over manual testing where feasible and more efficient.
• Build and execute manual, automation and non-functional test cases, ensuring test status, risks and issues are reported in a timely manner using agreed reporting standards.
• Interact with the development team on issue clarification, bug fixes and root cause analysis.
• Build out and take DevOps capabilities into the future.

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes, with a passion for the latest technology and consumer value delivery.
• Demonstrable experience applying AI to quality engineering.
• At least 5 years' experience in overall software quality assurance of web or mobile applications, REST APIs and database engines, with exposure to the full product development cycle from requirements through post-release (minimum 7 years for the Senior QA/Test Manager position).
• Two years' proven working experience leading a team for the Senior QA/Test Manager position.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient spoken and written command of English.
• College or university degree with a focus on IT, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience of agile software development practices (Scrum, Kanban), DevOps culture and CI/CD concepts (Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes).
• Experience defining, planning and controlling a Test Management Plan and acting as test manager for end-to-end initiatives across teams.
• Up to date with agile testing practices and test automation concepts, with hands-on experience in the design and implementation of automation strategies.
• Strong problem-solving and test automation skills, with experience in functional and non-functional testing.
• Working experience with BDD and Cucumber.
• Relevant experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Experience designing the appropriate test types and levels according to the context.
• Proactivity and a team-player attitude, with experience leading and mentoring team members.

• Experience in ecommerce projects.
• Experience designing and executing performance testing.
• ISTQB certifications.
