The governing body of European football

UEFA – the Union of European Football Associations – is the governing body of European football. We are a representative democracy and the umbrella organisation for 55 national football associations across Europe.

Our objectives are to deal with all questions relating to European football, to promote football in a spirit of unity, solidarity, peace, understanding and fair play, without any discrimination on the part of politics, race, religion, gender or any other reason. We safeguard the values of European football, maintain relations with all stakeholders involved in the game, and support our member associations for the overall well-being of European football.

We have a clear vision: a united European football family working together to improve enjoyment of the game. Founded in 1954 and headquartered in Nyon, Switzerland, UEFA employs over 500 people dedicated to growing and protecting the beautiful game across the continent.
