Senior Product Developer Jersey & Sweat - AlphaTauri

Is responsible for the end-to-end development of premium jersey and sweat products, ensuring innovative functionality, superior quality and efficient production processes from concept to bulk. It involves overseeing fit, workmanship approvals, graphic execution and product documentation for the jersey and sweat categories. The postholder works closely with Design and Product Management, as well as Sourcing, Buying, Quality and international suppliers, to keep stakeholders aligned and informed throughout the product lifecycle.

• Manage the end-to-end development of premium jersey and sweat products, ensuring innovative functionality, superior quality and efficient production processes from concept to bulk.
• Oversee fit, workmanship approvals, graphic execution and product documentation for the jersey and sweat categories.
• Support the development process from concept to final product in close collaboration with Design and Product Management, ensuring garments meet quality, fit and technical standards.
• Manage and drive the target costing process for assigned styles, partnering with Sourcing, Buying and Quality to achieve the optimal balance of product innovation, margin and price.
• Maintain clear, proactive communication with suppliers throughout the entire product lifecycle, challenge cost drivers and identify optimisation opportunities to ensure commercially competitive and premium products.
• Manage and approve garment fit throughout the entire development cycle, including active participation in fittings.
• Review and validate workmanship, construction details and graphic applications to ensure they meet standards.
• Create and maintain accurate product documentation and technical files to support a smooth end-to-end process.
• Partner closely with Design, Product Management, Sourcing, Quality, Buying and suppliers to keep all stakeholders aligned and informed.
• Safeguard timelines and quality standards consistently across every stage of the process.

• 3+ years of proven experience in product development for jersey, sweat and sportswear – essential.
• Deep understanding of jersey fabrics, trims and garment construction/workmanship.
• Strong expertise in apparel graphics, including placement, print techniques, embroidery and applications.
• Advanced user skills in MS Office, Adobe Illustrator and LM tools.
• Structured and reliable team player with a hands-on, analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in working with cross-functional teams and international suppliers.
