Job description
About the Role
This role exists to generate ideas and executions and to consider all look-and-feel in solving creative briefs, drawing on knowledge of integrated creative and experience solutions and working either independently or as part of a creative team. It focuses on helping shape clients' stories on their owned channels and then driving visibility far beyond them, running day-to-day PR delivery — pitching stories, landing coverage and lining up interviews — while helping plan content for campaigns across major brand partnerships in sport. The post sits within a growing Content & Creative team and reports into the Business Director, Amplification.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and sell in press releases, pitches and briefing materials, landing coverage across national, sports, trade and consumer media.
- Line up and manage interviews for talent, ambassadors and spokespeople, from briefing through to on-the-day support.
- Spot reactive opportunities and support press activity at events and shoots.
- Build media lists and track and report on coverage using Muck Rack or similar tools.
- Source and vet creators who fit each brand and campaign, manage outreach, briefing and approvals alongside the creative and account teams, and track creator performance to recommend next steps.
- Contribute to content planning for client campaigns — from content series to activations around key moments — feeding in ideas, formats and hooks with a particular eye for content that travels.
- Own the amplification plan covering how content reaches beyond owned channels through publishers, partners and creators.
- Report on content performance and feed learnings into the next plan.
- Align timings, formats and assets with clients' social teams and agencies, including those within the Dentsu group, and manage content calendars and scheduling with delivery partners.
- Keep deliverables, deadlines and approvals on track across clients, rights holders and publishers, and support the Business Director in presenting plans and results.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Prior hands-on PR experience, ideally agency-side, in sport, entertainment or consumer brands.
- A track record of securing coverage and interviews.
- Experience with Muck Rack, Cision, Meltwater or similar tools, including coverage reporting.
- Experience identifying and working with creators.
- A strong instinct for compelling content and how it travels across social and publisher channels.
- Organised and confident when working with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong writing ability.
Preferred Skills
- Sports, consumer or trade media contacts.
- Experience working with football clubs or other rights holders.
- Experience with creator identification tools such as Sprout Social or CreatorIQ.
- A genuine interest in sport.
Workplace
- Hybrid working.
Benefits & Perks
- Work-life balance is recognised, and flexible working arrangements are open to discussion for all roles.
- Reasonable adjustments are available during the recruitment process for candidates with a disability or medical condition.
