Live Operations Coordinator - SEC

This role works as part of a growing team to ensure the operational quality of Video Replay services for the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The sports covered include Women's Soccer, Volleyball, Men's & Women's Basketball, Baseball, and Softball. The team is expanding following its inaugural SEC season in 2024-25 and is scaling delivery for Year 2.

• Take responsibility for the live operational quality of replay deliverables and ensure assigned events are operationally sound from pre-game, in-game, and post-game checklists.
• Verify system readiness for every assigned sporting event and ensure all system workflows are strictly followed while corresponding directly with on-site personnel.
• Produce thorough documentation for, and assist in delivering, training programmes for college replay staff, including on-site technicians and the Birmingham team, in alignment with Service Ops.
• Create and refine comprehensive documentation for operational workflows, including checklists, post-event reporting, and disaster recovery protocols.
• Continuously challenge existing processes to identify operational gaps and inefficiencies.
• Partner with the Atlanta Project Team to monitor system performance and ensure hardware anomalies or quirks are addressed in a timely manner with a definitive rectification plan.
• Act as the first level of resolution for operational software issues and challenges before escalating to Tech Ops engineering teams.
• Provide constructive feedback on software functionality, UI, and general ease of use from an end-user standpoint to help drive development.
• Serve as the main point of contact for on-site personnel if remote assistance is required, and relay necessary information regarding each assigned event to the wider Hawk-Eye team.
• Ensure operational preparedness of events requiring logistical support and attention, including staffing, hardware, network, and software requirements, and travel at times to select events requiring on-site staff or Birmingham staff representation.

• High adaptability, a strong willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for sport.
• Strong background in providing remote technical or operational support, with excellent system-level troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail, specifically when creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Comfortable challenging current operational processes to drive improvements.
• Deep knowledge of collegiate sports and a general interest in the sports this encompasses.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong desire to learn, adapt, and grow a career within sports technology.
• Willingness and ability to work non-traditional hours, including long days over consecutive weekends and midweek evenings.
• Ability to act as the primary remotely supervising contact for Hawk-Eye on-site personnel, ensuring technical and operational readiness for each assigned event.
• Ability to step in and fix issues remotely as they arise under tight timelines.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and clear communication in high-pressure situations.
• Actual base salary offered depends on qualifications, years of relevant experience, unique skill sets, educational background, professional certifications, and geographic location.

• Prior experience within the broadcast A/V industry.

• $43,112 - $57,482 Base salary, plus bonus.
• This range does not include any other compensation components or bonuses for which an individual may be eligible.
