Job description
About the Role
The Creative Operations Executive sits at the intersection of Design and Marketing within the Commercial Marketing team, keeping creative output moving quickly and consistently by turning approved campaign templates into the many versions needed for different audiences and channels. The role supports a broad range of commercial and marketing activity across the club, giving plenty of variety day to day. The postholder works as a close partner to the Design team, drawing on shared image libraries and templates to produce polished creative variations at speed before getting those assets in front of the wider marketing teams who need them, and over time helps strengthen how campaign assets are created, adapted, and delivered across channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the execution of creative swaps and updates, producing multiple on-brand variations of creative from approved templates to meet the needs of different campaigns, audiences, and channels.
- Work closely with the Design team to maintain a well-organised, up-to-date library of images and brand assets, and to ensure a clear, usable template is created and maintained for each initiative.
- Partner with key product marketers across the marketing function to understand campaign needs and support the production of creative asset variations across the business.
- Source, adapt, and prepare supporting imagery or creative components where bespoke photography or design assets are not available or practical.
- Distribute and socialise finished creative assets to the relevant marketing teams, ensuring the right people have the right assets in the right format at the right time.
- Gather feedback on creative performance and best practice from colleagues across the wider marketing function, feeding learnings back into future templates and ways of working.
- Check all assigned creative variations against brand guidelines before distribution, flagging any issues or inconsistencies to the Design team.
- Identify opportunities to streamline the creative swap process, helping the team produce a higher volume of high-quality variations more efficiently.
- Support the wider team with campaign set-up, asset coordination, and implementation requirements as the role develops.
- Provide occasional weekend support in line with business needs, along with general administrative tasks to support the wider department.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in a creative operations, creative production, design, or traffic-focused role, ideally within marketing, sports, entertainment, or a fast-paced in-house creative team.
- Confidence working with creative templates and production workflows.
- Comfortable adapting existing creative assets and templates for different audiences, formats, and campaign needs.
- Familiarity with marketing creative processes, template-led production, and asset management ways of working.
- A working understanding of paid media platforms and their creative specs and formats (e.g. social, display, programmatic).
- Understanding of owned channel formats (web, app, social) and CRM/email creative requirements and best practice.
- A strong communicator who is comfortable working closely with Design, Marketing, CRM, and Paid Media teams, and who can take on and apply feedback constructively.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage a high volume of creative requests and rapid turnarounds simultaneously without compromising on quality.
- A sharp eye for brand consistency, quality control, and spotting errors before assets go live.
- Embody the club's BLUE behaviours (Brave, Lead, Unity, Edge) in the approach to work and interactions with others.
- Adhere to the club's policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and GDPR.
- Act as an ambassador for diversity, equality, and inclusion, treating others fairly in line with the club's Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy and reporting any acts of discrimination through appropriate channels.
- Create a safe environment and act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults either in your care or attending club premises, reporting any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead.
- Report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the HR Department.
- Complete a DBS Check prior to starting employment, along with other child protection screening where appropriate.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with common design tools.
- Understanding of how creative assets are adapted and delivered across digital marketing channels.
- Exposure to campaign delivery processes, including preparing assets for handover or launch.
The Application Process
- Reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process can be requested from the recruiter.
