Senior Manager, Charities (Sports Education Project)

Leads, manages and implements a Trust Initiated Project centred on a school-based music and sports education programme supporting the whole person development of underprivileged children. The job holder develops plans and collaborates with project partners to provide a level playing field for children to develop their artistic and physical literacy, to lift them out of their disadvantaged socio-economic background, and to offer them hope and aspirations for lifelong self-improvement and growth. The position sits within the Charities and Community (C&C) Division, which manages strategic planning, grant donations, impactful project initiation, community engagement and the day-to-day operations of the HKJC Charities Trust, working with the Government, NGOs and community partners to address the root causes of social issues through innovative and cross-sectoral approaches.

• Oversee and manage project partners in the planning and implementation of the Sports Education Project's core components, including but not limited to the school-based sports training programme and the professional development of sports coaches.
• Serve as Secretariat of the Project Advisory Committee and Project Management Committee, and conduct regular project management meetings with project partners.
• Ensure close collaboration with project partners towards an aligned goal, including meeting the expected project outcomes and strategies defined by the Trust and the Advisory Committee.
• Manage and monitor the progress of anticipated outputs and outcomes, budget spending, and regular internal reporting to Management and the Board of Trustees.
• Oversee the marketing strategy and campaigns of the project, ensuring they promote and elevate the project's brand and awareness in the community as well as the Trust's brand.
• Oversee IT-related project management, including digital platform development and maintenance with vendors, consultants and project partners.
• Oversee internal and external stakeholder engagement.
• Monitor and assess external trends and developments, identify potential or probable risks that may impact project components, engage external consultants as required, and devise and assist in implementing mitigation measures in collaboration with internal divisions and external experts.
• Oversee impact assessment and ongoing data analyses to facilitate necessary adaptations to project components.

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in relevant disciplines.
• Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience, with at least 5 years at managerial level.
• Proven experience in transforming business requirements into insights for designing system requirements, implementation plans, contingency and risk mitigation, and post-implementation management.
• Solid experience in project management.

• Experience in dealing or working with government, NGOs, the education sector and professional bodies would be an added advantage.
• Experience in the sports sector is preferable.
