Assistant Manager Intercompany and Eliminations

Is primarily responsible for delivering quality accounting services for Warner Bros. Discovery entities. It is based in Hyderabad, India and reports directly to the Manager – Intercompany Accounting based in India.

• Prepare and post Intercompany Elimination journal entries, reconcile to the underlying GL activity, raise anomalies to the US-based team, and perform other month-end standard and ad-hoc activities.
• Investigate and correctly eliminate Intercompany Capital Investment activity.
• Run and review reports from the Consolidation system to identify required eliminations.
• Ensure accounting and reconciliations supporting documentation meets SOX standards.
• Improve processes through standardization and simplification.
• Ensure all global accounting policies are followed and compliance is maintained.
• Ensure completeness of the month-end accounting process as per the month-end calendar.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by team leaders.

• Minimum of 7 to 10 years of accounting experience.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in SAP FI/CO.
• Must have experience with MS Excel and advanced functions.
• SOX controls experience and ability to articulate key SOX controls in General Accounting.
• Very good communication skills, soft skills, interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in Multinational/Multicultural organisation matrix.
• Agility, flexibility, analytical, problem solving, putting extra effort to serve business-oriented goals.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic and uncertain environments (flexibility and prioritization).
• Skills to work in a fast-paced environment that will be changing together with you.

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or path to CPA preferred.
• Experience in a US GAAP environment.
• Blackline and Cadency experience.
• Experience in Media Industry, Big Four firms or global companies.

• Required to be in the Hyderabad office three days a week (specific days to be determined upon hire).
