Job description
About the Role
Hudl is hiring a Product Manager to lead discovery and delivery for key product initiatives in the club ice hockey market. The role sits across a suite of products that support an athlete's journey from registration to a signed NLI, spanning recruitment tools through to video analysis. The Product Manager acts as product owner for a cross-functional squad, collaborating with design and engineering while helping to expand Hudl's impact on club operations as it scales into this market.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as product owner for a cross-functional squad, keeping the backlog transparent and prioritised while collaborating with design and engineering to deliver on-strategy outcomes.
- Create a strategy to deliver value by bringing multiple Hudl offerings together in a way that works for the club ice hockey market.
- Lead discovery for projects to reduce risks around value and usability, then work with a release team to ensure solutions reach the market with measurable impact.
- Evaluate opportunities based on customer value, business viability and long-term platform strategy while helping define the roadmap for the team.
- Use AI tools and product thinking to design AI-powered workflows that automate manual work, reduce operational friction and help customers operate by exception rather than constant intervention.
- Build strong context across customer success, sales, partnerships, legal, finance and support to ensure solutions work for the broader business and ecosystem.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience as a Product Manager with a track record of driving complex initiatives from discovery through delivery.
- Deep understanding of customer needs and competitive trends, using qualitative and quantitative data to solve core problems up front.
- Ability to build trust with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, using logic and clarity to inspire action without relying on direct authority.
- Understanding of the operational dimensions of a product business, such as sales, marketing, finance and legal, and the ability to balance value with business constraints.
Preferred Skills
- Experience using rapid post-launch optimisation techniques to refine live capabilities.
- A history of working on the front lines to demo tools, train users or handle support inquiries directly in order to build customer empathy.
Workplace
- Local candidates in Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska are prioritised.
- Remote applicants are welcome if they reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Salary
- Starting salaries will typically fall near the middle of this range.
- Compensation decisions are based on an individual's experience, skills and education in line with internal pay equity practices.
Benefits & Perks
- Flexibility in work life, including flexible vacation time and company-wide holidays.
- A paid sabbatical every five years to unplug and recharge.
- An open, honest culture with autonomy and trust from day one, and the agency to try new ideas.
- Resources and opportunities for professional development and career growth.
- Investment in offices designed with employees in mind, plus a tech stack and hardware provided for office or remote work.
- Medical plans tailored for employees and their families, including vision, dental and fertility benefits.
- Support through an EAP and Employee Resource Groups.
- 401(k) match of up to 4% of the employee's own contribution.
