Sr Production Finance Accountant

The Senior Production Finance Accountant is responsible for handling the accounting on television productions in both prep and post. The role offers the opportunity to learn about various aspects of the entertainment industry while joining a team committed to ongoing process improvement and individual development. The position involves close working relationships with third-party production companies' finance teams and requires interaction with management, staff and outside vendors.

• Process outgoing and incoming payments and statements, journal entries, petty cash, pcard and payroll, and prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and yearly cost reporting and cash forecasting.
• Review and approve accounts payable, journal entry, payroll and petty cash edits for posting.
• Identify procedural inconsistencies and recommend process improvements to ensure procedures and data are compliant, effective and secure.
• Prepare monthly cost reporting, cash forecasts and trial balance reconciliations.
• Process, research and resolve accounts payable, purchase order, journal entry, petty cash and pcard entries.
• Audit and approve accounts payable, purchase order, journal entry, petty cash and pcard batches.
• Schedule and lead prep and post accounting turnover meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Accounting or Business Administration bachelor's degree is required.
• Previous financial accounting experience is required.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Experience in leading a team.
• Fast learner and strong problem solver.

• Strong planning, organisation and analytical skills.

• Previous experience presenting to various staff levels and leading meetings and training.
• Production finance experience for Local Originals for Mexico across Movies, Scripted and Unscripted projects.
• Close relations with third-party production companies' finance teams.

• Experience with PSL, Smart Accounting, related third-party accounting systems and MS Office is preferred.
• Payroll knowledge is desirable.
• Entertainment industry experience is preferred.
• Cash flow experience is preferred.
• Experience in a large corporate environment is preferred.
