About the Role
Supports McLaren Racing in remaining compliant and competitive under the Formula One Financial Regulations. It uses data to identify risks, opportunities and process improvements, working with Finance and business stakeholders and supporting FIA and external-audit activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Build detailed knowledge of the Formula One Financial Regulations, relevant guidance, precedents and internal positions.
- Analyse transactions, arrangements and business proposals against the regulatory framework, separating facts, assumptions, evidence and judgement.
- Provide clear, practical Cost Cap advice and escalate novel, material or high-risk matters with concise analysis and recommended next steps.
- Act as a trusted partner to allocated Finance and business stakeholders, understanding the commercial or operational objectives behind their requests.
- Translate complex requirements into clear actions, evidence expectations and workable solutions, challenging constructively where appropriate.
- Work confidently with large financial and operational datasets, including extraction, reconciliation, validation, exception analysis and trend investigation.
- Identify weaknesses in data quality, recurring manual activity and controls, supporting improvements to reporting, automation and repeatability.
- Own assigned Cost Cap schedules, working papers and reconciliations, ensuring outputs are complete, accurate, timely and review-ready.
- Support FIA and external-audit activity by preparing well-organised schedules, evidence, explanations and submission documentation.
- Share knowledge, document repeatable processes and contribute across the team when priorities, deadlines or risks require it.
