The role requires strong technical proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and business intelligence tools, with opportunities to leverage AWS and Python.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, technical requirements, and data challenges.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions, identifying opportunities to leverage data, analytics, and automation to optimise processes, improve performance, and drive growth.
- Independently develop and implement tailored analytical solutions that align with client objectives and technical environments.
- Develop, optimise, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, database views, and data models, and work with large datasets across relational databases and cloud-based data warehouses to ensure efficient data structures, query performance, and data integrity.
- Integrate, transform, and validate data from multiple sources, supporting data quality initiatives and collaborating with technical teams on data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Collect, clean, transform, and analyse complex datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Apply analytical techniques to support business use cases such as customer segmentation, fan engagement analysis, lead scoring, and customer lifetime value.
- Support the development of predictive models and statistical analyses, leveraging SQL and, where applicable, Python or other analytical tools to develop repeatable and scalable solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualisations using Tableau, Power BI, or similar business intelligence platforms, including underlying data models, SQL queries, and calculations to support accurate reporting and automate analytical processes.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations, effectively communicating results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on analytics experience.
- Advanced SQL proficiency, including independently writing, optimising, and troubleshooting complex queries involving joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and data transformations across multiple data sources.
- Strong understanding of relational database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or AWS Redshift, including database structures, data modelling, table relationships, and query performance optimisation.
- Experience integrating, cleaning, transforming, and validating data from multiple sources.
- Familiarity with database views, stored procedures, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Strong proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools, including developing dashboards, underlying data models, and automated reporting solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with large datasets, identifying trends, and applying analytical methodologies to solve business challenges.
- Ability to translate complex datasets and analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives that influence decision-making and communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to independently investigate data discrepancies, troubleshoot SQL and reporting issues, and identify opportunities to improve data quality and analytical processes.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and align analytical approaches with organisational objectives.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams while effectively managing deliverables and communicating with stakeholders.
- Commitment to accuracy, consistency, and reliability in data analysis, reporting, and database management.
- Technically proficient, self-driven, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable independently working with complex datasets, troubleshooting technical challenges, and developing scalable analytical solutions.
- Strong communication skills, a consultative mindset, and a customer service-oriented approach for effectively collaborating with internal teams and external clients.
Preferred Skills

- Familiarity with cloud-based data environments, preferably AWS, including services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, or Athena.
- Exposure to statistical modelling, predictive analytics, machine learning, customer segmentation, lead scoring, or customer lifetime value modelling.
- Experience developing or maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, stored procedures, and automated data workflows.
- Understanding of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics, and experience working with customer, ticketing, or marketing automation data.
