About the Role
This role sits within the Customs and Trade team at Nike's European Logistics Campus, a group made up of specialists, analysts, coaches, and managers, and reports to a Customs Manager. The analyst works in an international environment alongside internal stakeholders and external logistics and customs partners to ensure the fast and efficient delivery of products. The team is responsible for the seamless execution of import and export processes across EMEA, with a focus on creating new solutions and driving continuous process improvement in trade and customs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate projects with internal and external stakeholders and lead the implementation of change through effective presentation and communication, keeping the customer at the centre.
- Ensure the seamless and compliant end-to-end execution of cross-border trade processes across EMEA through data-driven analysis, process optimisation, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the movement of products swiftly and compliantly through the entire supply chain.
- Deliver continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Advance the customs governance framework through data-driven insights, reporting, and knowledge sharing.
- Play an active role in the Customs Data Community and translate customs data and regulatory developments into actionable insights that support risk awareness, continuous improvement, and informed decision-making.
- Analyse data, interpret customs legislation, identify savings opportunities, and improve operational processes relating to customs valuation, tariff classification, and origin determination under Free Trade Agreements.
- Safeguard annual duty savings across EMEA.
- Hold stakeholders accountable, address performance and compliance gaps, and drive high-quality execution across the end-to-end process.
- Collaborate with the wider team, technology, legal, government and public affairs, financial, and global stakeholders.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Understanding of the dynamic world of logistics, customs, and international trade, or willingness to learn at an expedited pace.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, with the ability to connect and inspire across all levels, both in person and virtually.
- Proven project management experience and an embrace of agile ways of working to keep teams aligned and moving forward.
- Ability to navigate both simple and complex data analyses, turn data into insights, drive action, and translate complexity and ambiguity into simple, compelling narratives.
- Thrives when collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, building trust and delivering results.
- Prioritises effectively, multitasks with confidence, and self-steers while knowing when to ask for support.
- Thinks conceptually, seeing the big picture and underlying principles, and applies end-to-end thinking to understand and optimise the entire process flow across all stages.
