Sr. Operator, Live Operations BOC

This position is responsible for senior-level systems operation for live content production, with primary focus on the management of inbound and outbound signals, ingest coordination and monitoring, internal signal distribution, and communications configuration for Studio and PCR positions. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy and acts as a technical and situational reference for the team. It provides operational guidance in the absence of the area Supervisor, without formal people-management responsibility.

• Perform senior-level reception, validation, monitoring, and routing of video and audio signals across satellite, fibre, and IP-based transmission paths, including complex or high-priority feeds.
• Manage inbound and outbound signals, ingest coordination and monitoring, internal signal distribution, and communications configuration for Studio and PCR positions.
• Coordinate internal signal distribution and operational activities for live productions.
• Act as a technical and situational reference for the team.
• Guide operational priorities when the Supervisor is unavailable.
• Prepare and execute audio and video recording workflows.
• Carry out advanced troubleshooting and incident response.
• Produce operational reporting.
• Share knowledge with other operators.
• Provide operational guidance in the absence of the area Supervisor, without formal people-management responsibility.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems operation, broadcast operations, or a comparable Live Operations position.
• Strong understanding of video and audio signal flow, transmission systems, ingest and recording workflows, internal communications, monitoring, and broadcast infrastructure.
• Advanced operational knowledge of routers, signal monitoring tools, recording systems, intercom and IFB platforms, transmission equipment, and related Studio/PCR systems.
• Ability to independently receive, validate, monitor, troubleshoot, and route complex inbound and outbound signals across satellite, fibre, and IP-based environments.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues, coordinate corrective actions, document incidents, and minimise disruption to live broadcasts.
• Ability to guide colleagues, support operational prioritisation, and serve as the team's technical reference when the Supervisor is unavailable, without formal people-management authority.
