About the Role
CAA ICON is seeking a curious and motivated Data Analytics Intern to support its team in transforming data into meaningful insights that inform business decisions. The internship reports to the Senior Director of Operations and offers hands-on experience working with real datasets, analytics tools, and cross-functional stakeholders while building foundational skills in data analysis and visualisation. It is an in-person, full-time opportunity running from 17 May to 6 August 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organising data from multiple sources.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Support the creation of dashboards, reports, and visualisations for internal stakeholders.
- Help validate data accuracy and troubleshoot inconsistencies.
- Document analysis processes and findings.
- Collaborate with team members across functions.
- Participate in team meetings and present findings as appropriate.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field, with an expected graduation date in Spring/Summer/Winter 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.
- Open to current university students who are in their Junior or Senior year.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis concepts and statistical methods.
- Familiarity with at least one analytics or programming tool (e.g. SQL, Python, R).
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly in both written and verbal formats.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to recognise discrepancies.
- Dependable, results-focused, and ethical.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work in Denver, CO.
- Candidates who now or in the future require visa sponsorship are not eligible.
Preferred Skills
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Coursework or projects involving real-world data analysis.
- Familiarity with databases and querying data using SQL.
- Interest in applying data to solve business problems.
Workplace
- In-person internship based in Denver, CO.
- Interns are responsible for their own transportation.
Salary
- Hourly rate range of $19.84 – $26.00; hourly rates for interns are ultimately determined by geographic location, among other criteria.
