Senior Manager Development Apparel

Is responsible for performing key product development activities while adhering to the global inline and speed calendar, ensuring elevated and premium product quality and execution, and maintaining reasonable pricing. The position works closely with product creation teams, designers, suppliers, and internal and external stakeholders to develop assigned styles and ensure on-time sample delivery and product finalisation. It also involves building team capabilities, developing supplier partnerships, and leading cost review and negotiation to achieve required prices and profit margins.

• Perform all key product development activities, ensuring adherence to the global inline and speed calendar, elevated and premium product quality and execution, and reasonable pricing.
• Build team capabilities in communication, product knowledge and operating systems to fulfil assigned responsibilities.
• Develop mutual understanding and partnership with suppliers to build their capabilities in line with PUMA brand requirements.
• Communicate and coordinate with product creation teams, suppliers and stakeholders on sample development, bulk production, approvals and product communication.
• Ensure on-time product finalisation and approval prior to bulk order placement.
• Drive proactive cross-functional communication with internal and external stakeholders to achieve an efficient and effective product development process.
• Manage and execute time and action plans to ensure on-time delivery of samples with good execution, quality and fit.
• Develop assigned styles in cooperation with designers, internal teams and suppliers.
• Lead and work closely with the team to bring out the expected performance and results.
• Conduct cost reviews and negotiations to achieve required prices and profit margins, and assist in strategic planning for costing projects.

• Minimum 8 years working experience in garment.
• Strong knowledge in apparel product development and materials.
• Highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills, focus on details and proactive problem-solving ability.
• Proven leadership and experience in working with global and multicultural stakeholders.
• Proactive and agile, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and embrace different perspectives to drive alignment.
• Strong presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and gain stakeholder buy-in.
• Able to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team on assigned tasks.
• Independent, self-motivated, responsible, detail-minded and well-organised.

• Experience in the sportswear industry.
