About the Role
The Resource Distribution & Planning Team Lead within the Workforce department oversees scheduling operations, workforce allocation, capacity planning, and operational efficiency across teams. The role ensures that the right resources are in place at the right time to support business priorities. The postholder partners closely with stakeholders to optimise scheduling, balance workloads, and contribute to strategic workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Resource Distribution & Planning team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
- Oversee the allocation of resources across projects, shifts, and business units to ensure coverage and efficiency.
- Monitor staffing capacity and proactively address forecast variances, potential shortages, or opportunities to increase productivity.
- Collaborate with Operations, HR, WFM, and other stakeholders to align resource planning with business priorities.
- Provide data-driven insights and reports to leadership on resource utilisation, scheduling performance, and forecasting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance scheduling efficiency, workforce distribution, and planning.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in workforce, resource planning, operations, or scheduling management.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data, forecasts, and reporting tools.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to deal with challenges and be efficient under pressure, adapt quickly, and make informed decisions.
