Job description
About the Role
The Associate, Reporting & Finance System Administration Specialist supports the daily administration, reporting and operational effectiveness of the organisation's financial systems, assisting with system support, report development, data validation, troubleshooting and user support across Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, BlackLine and other finance applications. The role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, Shared Services and IT teams to help ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy and efficient financial operations, while contributing to process improvement and system enhancement initiatives. The position sits with one of the NFL's third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL; the individual selected will be an employee of that agency rather than the NFL, and the assignment to provide services to the NFL is limited in duration but may be extended by agreement between the NFL and the agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, BlackLine and related finance applications.
- Troubleshoot system and reporting issues, escalating more complex matters as needed.
- Support user access, security administration and master data maintenance.
- Assist with system testing, upgrades, patches and enhancements, and support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities by resolving system-related issues.
- Develop and maintain standard and ad hoc financial reports.
- Validate financial data, investigate reporting discrepancies, monitor data quality and support reconciliations across systems.
- Maintain reporting documentation, standards and data definitions.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, data accuracy and automation, and support the implementation of process improvements and system enhancements.
- Participate in upgrades, implementations and finance technology projects, including business requirements gathering, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and issue tracking, and create and maintain process documentation, training materials and end-user guides.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Shared Services, IT and business stakeholders, providing responsive support and clear communication on system issues, updates and process changes, and building strong working relationships with users and cross-functional teams.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in finance systems support, accounting operations, financial reporting, business analysis or a related field.
- Experience working with ERP systems, financial applications or reporting tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Embody an enthusiastic, proactive can-do attitude.
- Embrace grit, free from ego or entitlement.
- Excel as a relationship builder, with the ability to influence.
- Eager learner, driven by passion rather than just ambition.
- Encompass an incredible work ethic with an agile mindset.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, BlackLine or similar financial systems.
- Experience supporting financial reporting, data analysis or business intelligence initiatives.
- Familiarity with Power BI or comparable reporting platforms.
- Exposure to Finance, Accounting, Shared Services or IT operations.
Workplace
- This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office or stadium location; remote and hybrid working options are not offered.
- In-person work at NFL offices is a top priority because it allows for more effective collaboration, stronger connections and the culture that drives the organisation's success.
- No relocation assistance will be provided.
Benefits & Perks
- Comprehensive benefits offerings are provided; further details are available from the employer.
- Compensation, benefits and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the third-party agency.
