iOS Engineer

This role focuses on shaping the iOS experience by building features that reach millions of users. The engineer collaborates across Design, Product, and Analytics teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-impact solutions. The role sits on one of the highest-visibility products, central to long-term growth and innovation strategy, and directly drives user engagement and influences the evolution of the mobile platform.

• Contribute to the development of high-quality iOS applications that deliver engaging user experiences.
• Write clean, maintainable code using Swift and SwiftUI, following established patterns and practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to build new features from concept to release.
• Assist with integrating APIs, managing data, and optimising app performance.
• Participate in code reviews and testing to maintain a high standard of quality.
• Leverage AI coding assistants and agents to support development, testing, and code reviews while ensuring code quality and taking ownership of the final output.
• Learn about and apply modern iOS development tools, techniques, and trends.
• Work with the team to troubleshoot issues and improve reliability.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
• At least 1 year of experience building iOS applications in Swift.
• Familiarity with architecture patterns such as MVC or MVVM and core principles such as OOP and design patterns.
• Solid understanding of API integration, data persistence, and state management.
• Eagerness to learn CI/CD, automated testing, and mobile release processes.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.
• Interest in adopting AI-assisted development workflows.
• Effective communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for building intuitive, user-focused mobile experiences.

• Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex.

• May be required to obtain a gaming licence issued by the appropriate state agency as a condition of employment, with guidance provided.
