Job description
About the Role
Combines creative technology, technical strategy, workflow automation, and production tooling to support efficient, scalable in-house creative production. Working closely with the Technical Motion Designer and Automation Specialist, it bridges creative and technical disciplines to develop automated pipelines, evaluate emerging tools, and drive workflow innovation. The role ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality, on-brand assets across markets while accelerating time to market, increasing productivity, enabling future scalability, and reducing external production costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Review existing creative production workflows across the agency to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, unnecessary steps, and opportunities for improvement, and redesign processes to make production faster, leaner, and more efficient.
- Develop and implement automated and semi-automated solutions that eliminate repetitive manual tasks in asset creation, adaptation, customisation, and delivery.
- Build smart workflows that reduce manual intervention while maintaining creative quality and consistency.
- Design and maintain dynamic, data-driven production systems that enable teams to produce higher volumes of creative assets within existing time and resource constraints.
- Develop reusable templates, modular systems, and automated asset-generation workflows to support efficient multi-format and multi-channel content production.
- Explore, test, and implement new tools, technologies, scripts, plugins, and integrations, connecting existing tools and systems and developing custom solutions to improve creative production processes.
- Collaborate with creative, production, and other teams to improve how tools, processes, and systems work together, establishing clear, scalable workflows and sharing best practices.
- Support the adoption of more efficient ways of working across the agency.
- Evaluate and optimise production processes continuously to reduce turnaround times, minimise manual effort, and make better use of resources.
- Drive measurable improvements in productivity, cost efficiency, and overall production capacity without compromising creative quality, reducing production time, eliminating repetitive tasks, increasing creative output, and building scalable solutions.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Motion Designer or in a similar role.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Maxon, and Blender.
- Experience with JavaScript, the Templater plugin, dynamic project templating, MOGRTs, and expressions.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Highly structured and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to consistency and brand identity.
- Analytical, solution-oriented, and eager to learn and implement new techniques and technologies.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Motion Graphics, Digital Media, 3D Design, or a related field, ideally.
- Proficiency in German or Spanish is an advantage.
