Senior Manager Corporate Treasury

The purpose of Corporate Treasury is to manage the company's liquidity, solvency and financial market risks through Financial Operations, Corporate Funding, Middle Office and Financial Risk Management. The role sits within the Finance team and works closely with Corporate Treasury and HQ Finance, other corporate functions such as IT, Accounting, Controlling and GBS, internal auditors, project teams, external advisors and auditors, industry peers and financial institutions. It combines day-to-day treasury operations and secure payment processing with project work, process improvement and the development of analytical tools, standards and operational plans.

• Determine the daily cash position from bank balances and expected cash flows, execute liquidity transfers and manage short-term surpluses or deficits within policy and delegated limits.
• Coordinate short-term cash forecasting inputs and operational liquidity needs with the forecasting function, identify potential shortfalls early and escalate beyond delegated limits.
• Ensure secure treasury payment processing and settlement within assigned authority, observing cut-offs and approvals, investigating exceptions, escalating incidents and applying fraud-prevention controls.
• Drive cash-management digitisation, including bank, ERP and treasury management system connectivity, and strengthen data quality, automated workflows and controlled implementation with IT.
• Design, develop and implement state-of-the-art analytical tools and KPIs, and execute reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support financial strategies.
• Identify significant improvement potential through variance analysis, derive solutions and facilitate related decisions.
• Enhance and improve working methods for day-to-day processes and develop new processes, standards or operational plans with direct impact on the department and overall targets.
• Manage medium to large sized projects and/or actively participate in projects, implement findings and ensure the sustainability of achievements.
• Develop and implement communication packages to present derived results, recommendations and solutions, and support negotiations with internal and external stakeholders to achieve departmental and corporate goals and targets.
• Provide comprehensive expertise for assigned functional areas, systems and processes towards the team and business partners, and enforce adherence to M1 Treasury Policy.
• Actively keep up to date with the latest trends in Corporate Treasury.

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance or Controlling, or equivalent background in related fields.
• CFA level 2 or equivalent skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Treasury system landscape and strong Treasury systems experience.
• Minimum of 5-8 years working experience in related fields.
• Practical knowledge of cash management and cash pooling, in-house banking, intercompany reconciliation, netting and interest processes.
• Ability to think and act strategically and develop operational plans.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
