We are the UK's high-performance sport experts, powering our greatest athletes, sports and events towards lasting success. Since 1997, we've helped invest National Lottery and Government Exchequer funding to transform Britain's elite sporting system. Our mission is to create the greatest decade of extraordinary sporting moments; reaching, inspiring and uniting the nation. We work with a range of funders including The National Lottery and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to deliver our ambitions. We invest in sport and major events, powering positive change and social impact. Our work spans investing in Olympic and Paralympic sport, leadership and governance, coaching, and international relations. We also run a jobs board and career pathways for the sport sector. UK Sport is a government agency founded in 1997, headquartered in London with additional bases at the Loughborough University Science & Enterprise Park and the Manchester Institute of Health and Performance.
