About The Football Association (FA)

The FA is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England

It is responsible for promoting and developing every level of the game, from grassroots through to the professional game, and successfully generates enough revenue to support significant investment into English football each year.

The FA oversees England international teams across men’s, women’s, youth and disability football, as well as running the National League System and FA Competitions including the Emirates FA Cup and Vitality Women’s FA Cup as well as the world-class facilities of Wembley Stadium and St. George’s Park, all with a purpose to inspire positive change through football.

Our game can tackle some of society’s core challenges.

It can bring communities together, nationally and locally. It can be a platform for inclusion, ensuring there is a place for all. It can get people active and promote wellbeing often at a time when we need it most. With UEFA EURO 2028 – hosted in the UK and Ireland – on the horizon, we have an incredible opportunity to transform football across the country.

Now is the time to inspire positive change.

On-Field Triumphs

National success, including the Lionesses winning the UEFA Women's Euro and reaching the FIFA Women's World Cup final, alongside the men's senior team securing back-to-back UEFA Euro finals and the Men's U21 team winning their European Championship.

Talent & Learning Growth

The England talent pathways are successfully developing elite players, while over 476,000 unique individuals are actively engaging with England Football Learning.

Grassroots Infrastructure

£172 million in facility funding was secured to transform local communities, delivering 6,500 grass pitches, 270 3G pitches, and 360 new clubhouses.

Coaching & Diversity

A targeted £1.7 million investment was launched to support 10,000 coaches from historically under-represented groups in gaining qualifications, backed by mandatory diversity reporting for professional clubs and leagues alongside impactful anti-discrimination campaigns.

Women's Game

Established the Women's Professional Leagues Limited (WPLL) as an independent professional entity, secured a landmark WSL broadcast deal with the BBC and Sky, and successfully commercialized the Adobe Women's FA Cup.

Digital Reach

Built a powerful connection with the public, engaging 2.3 million individuals across various FA digital platforms.

Our ultimate purpose is to inspire positive change through football. Let’s make it happen.

Our Values

We are a purpose-driven and values-led organisation, so it is really important that our core values represent who we are now – and who we want to be in the future.

Our purpose and strategy connect us to what we do, but our values define who we are, how we approach our work and why we work hard – not only for the game, but for each other.

These new values have been created by us – and for us – to keep a common thread running through everything we do. They serve to keep us focused; to shape and simplify our decisions; and to show what makes our culture special.
