About Everton Football Club

We are a football club with a desire to be the best.

Everton Football Club is one of world sport's most respected and revered names - a by-word for innovation and professionalism during the course of a glittering history which now spans three centuries.

In 1878, Everton was one of the founder-members of the world's first professional league and has played more games in English football's top-flight than any other club. Everton have been English champions on nine occasions, runners-up seven times, have won the famous FA Cup five times and in 1985 won the European Cup-winners' Cup.

Throughout our 140-year history we have been recognised as a family-oriented Club based on our proud traditions. Those traditions have also encouraged innovation, ensuring Everton has remained one of the great pioneering Clubs in the history of the game.

With a new waterfront stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, Everton continues to build for the future while honouring its past. The Club is also proud of its community arm, Everton in the Community, one of the UK's top sporting charities.
