Saudi Pro League

The Saudi Pro League (SPL) was founded in 2008 as an independent organisation that works under the umbrella of the Saudi Football Federation, with administrative and financial independence as well as holding all commercial rights to the Saudi Pro League. The SPL's Board of Directors consists of the SPL's Chairman, a representative of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), and SPL teams. The league has the right to establish its own regulations in accordance with the Statute of SAFF. The league currently comprises 18 participating teams competing at the top tier of Saudi Arabian professional football.
