Workforce Planning Coordinator
FIFA and the Qatar LOC has created a Joint Venture, which is responsible for the operational delivery of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM (FWC2022)
The Workforce Department is responsible for planning and managing the human capital for the delivery of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, where Volunteers play a crucial role and are one of the biggest group in the tournament workforce.
The jobholder will collaborate on the development of strategies, policies and processes, operating principles and operational goals of FWC2022 Workforce. It will also coordinate workforce-planning exercises with several projects. It will capture, analyze workforce data and prepare reports to senior management. In addition, it will collaborate with any workforce service provider that required workforce central data to provide its services.
Assist in organising and running workforce planning reviews to identify workforce needs for the FIFA World Cup
Collaborate closely with the workforce operations teams to ensure that an integrated workforce management process is followed
Deliver a consistent workforce planning across projects and delivery entities, ensuring appropriate and optimised staffing to deliver the agreed service levels.
Work in close collaboration with FIFA and Host Country
Contribute in business analysis meetings for the development of integrated processes across key stakeholders within Q22, Supreme Committee Host Country and FIFA
Manage a Job Title and description convention by adoption flexible and efficient structures. Run a change management process while being integrated with key stakeholders
Manage a Tournament common codes convention and maintain its integrity by applying effective change management processes
In collaboration with the HR project, support the alignment of the hiring plan based on workforce planning revisions occurring across the different planning phases
Prepare Workforce Planning reports to the senior management team and any workforce service provider acting as a central source of truth regarding any Workforce requirements data for FIFA and Q22
Support the development of a workforce system to support the management of information and operational needs related to workforce planning and its subsequent integration with other workforce modules
Support the evolution of the workforce hiring plan and budget in coordination with Finance
Define and implement the processes related to staff assignment and workforce scheduling
Support the design and establishment of policies and processes to manage workforce operations which consider retention strategies at FWC2022
Support the communication to projects in relation to workforce delivery stages and deliver the relevant supporting tools, policies and procedures
Adapt to the needs of the role as the Q22 evolves
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor directly related or relevant to the job
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and/or Sports Management or relevant discipline from an accredited project management institution or
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent qualification
- Master’s Degree would be an additional asset
- Fluency in English is required.
- Fluency in Arabic is an advantage
- 5+ years’ experience in workforce or volunteer planning
- Major/Multi-Sports/Multi location events experience is an advantage
- Previous experience in customer service and hospitability industries is an advantage
