Main goal:
UEFA Event Transport is responsible for planning and implementing transportation services and parking operations for the UEFA EURO tournaments, club finals and corporate events, such as draws and the annual UEFA Congress. The UEFA Event Transport Specialist is directly responsible for the strategic and operational planning and implementation of Event Transport operations for the UEFA Women's EURO 2025 to ensure the smooth functioning, cost-efficiency and high quality of transport options for this event.
The incumbent applies a set of technical skills related to event transport operations in combination with various project and risk management methods.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing the Event Transport Project Charter, in accordance with the service requirements of the various client groups
- Devising the project organisation structure for the event
- Establishing, executing and controlling budgets and implementing supplier management strategies aimed at cost control and effectiveness
- Taking the lead on procurement and contract management
- Establishing project plans and monitoring progress
- Identifying, managing and reporting operational risks
- Working with in-house and external stakeholders to ensure the consistent implementation of service levels
- Leading the operational planning of all project domains
- Attending and presenting at internal and external stakeholder meetings
- Recruiting and leading the Event Transport Team through planning, implementation and delivery of operations
Profile:
Experience required:
- from 4 to 6 years / from 4 to 6 years' experience in complex project management, ideally in a multicultural
environment; previous experience working on sporting events would be an advantage
- from 1 to 3 years / from 1 to 3 years' experience leading a team; previous experience in the fields of event transport, venue management or access management would be an advantage
Education:
- Bachelor's Bachelor's degree or equivalent, ideally relating to transport, logistics or supply chains
- Other Certificate in project or risk management
