Team and Job Overview

SPORTFIVE’S Experiential & Production division creates unique Experiences and Content to Make Fans Cheer for Rights Holders – including Sports Properties, Leagues, Teams, Athletes – and Brands through Experiential Marketing, Live & Virtual Events, Sports Experiences and Content Production.

The Video Shooter and Editor role will lead our video content creation projects. The ideal candidate will have experience planning, shooting and editing a broad range of dynamic short form videos. Content produced will include various formats ranging from team and sponsor videos running on stadium video boards for professional sports teams to content for brands promoting their partnership with a sponsored athlete on their social media channels.

This position will report to the EVP of Experiential & Production and is an individual contributor that will work closely with the Experiential & Production and the Creative Strategy teams and collaborate across SPORTFIVE.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Lead video content projects through every required phase of production – requirements will vary by project but may include any or all of creative development, pre-production planning, budgeting, production/shooting, post-production, editing, and finishing/delivery

  • Work with management, the creative team, and clients, to determine storytelling and aesthetic for video content; ensuring the creative vision is executed with the highest quality video, graphics and sound production

  • Produce, shoot and/or edit high-quality, short-form videos in a wide range of styles shot in the field and/or in-studio; varied formats can include including talent/athlete focused shoots, graphic videos, sizzle videos, social content videos, etc.

  • Ability to plan, source and manage freelance crews as needed depending upon the production requirements

  • A strong desire to produce attention-grabbing content featuring strong storytelling and dynamic visual effects; knowledge of evolving social media best practices

  • Background in studio and field production

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience of:

  • Experience producing sports-related video content; additional entertainment-related industry experience considered a plus

  • Experience producing social content for multiple platforms; additional experience with video streaming considered a plus

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, After Effects, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere

  • Familiarity with motion graphics

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must be creative, prompt, positive, and reliable

  • Needs to be collaborative and team focused with the ability to lead as/if required

  • Able to prioritize multiple projects in fast paced environment with deadlines

Job Requirements

  • Essential duties are performed onsite at the New York, NY location Monday through Thursday and at client sites as needed

  • Must be flexible to work nights/weekends as typical when supporting sporting & live events industry

  • Must be flexible to travel to event and client locations

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds


Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000

SPORTFIVE is providing the compensation range it might pay for this position. The rate of pay offered will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
