Alongside the Digital Manager, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will work on creative and content development, ensuring compelling and engaging digital communications are created to maximise awareness, consideration and purchase of tickets for Women's EURO 2022 tournament.

UEFA Women's EURO 2022 Digital Marketing Coordinator

The tournament:

England will play host to UEFA Women's EURO 2022 at 10 venues across the country with the final being staged at Wembley Stadium. This is the pinnacle in the European calendar for women's football with hundreds of thousands of fans expected to attend the tournament and millions more will watch the globally-televised event.

The role:

The Digital Marketing Coordinator will support on the development of the owned and paid digital marketing plans and lead on delivery across CRM, social media, website, media and influencer channels, ensuring we deliver an exceptional digital experience for every fan. Alongside the Digital Manager, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will work on creative and content development, ensuring compelling and engaging digital communications are created to maximise awareness, consideration and purchase of tickets for Women's EURO 2022 tournament.


Key responsibilities:

  • Support on the development and lead on delivery of a best in class data & insight lead, personalised, compelling digital marketing plan that drives awareness, consideration and maximises engagement with fans and the UK population to achieve ticket sales targets
  • Create and build emails using our CRM / ESP, ensuring you deliver the right creative, messages and content to the right audience segment, at the right time
  • Work in close collaboration with the data & insight agency and ticketing provider to produce the optimum digital communications
  • Ensure the women's EURO 2022 website pages are updated with new information, pages, events and imagery using the Website CMS and liaise with our FA and UEFA colleagues to ensure relevant updates are actioned across our FA website and UEFA WEURO website
  • Work in collaboration with The FA digital team and the UEFA digital team to develop and implement our social media strategy across our UEFA social channels and FA social channels, ensuring our social and video content is exciting and engaging and appeals to our followers. Post and respond to followers as required
  • Work with our external media agency to deliver the optimum paid digital media campaign to attract new fans and drive ticket sales
  • Own and refine regular reporting across our owned digital channels and make clear recommendations on campaign optimisation based on campaign performance
  • Develop exciting and compelling on-brand content and videos for use across all digital channels to attract, engage and covert target audience segments
  • Work with our external agencies and in-house designer to bring your creative ideas to life
  • Write creative, concise and catchy copy that excites our target audiences, adapting it per segment to ensure relevancy and appeal
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across UEFA, The FA, internal and external agencies, host cities and football clubs to create optimum digital campaigns that are aligned and deliver an excellent fan experience and ticket sales
  • Act as a brand ambassador for UEFA Women's EURO 2022, championing the event and driving collaboration and engagement both inside and outside the organisation
  • Execute additional tasks as required in order to meet the tournament's changing priorities

Experience and skills required:

  • A good understanding of the sports market place, digital marketing & communications and using data and insight and segmentation to optimise digital campaigns
  • Experience in digital marketing campaign experience, developing and managing digital channels including web, social media and email
  • Experience in creating, developing and building emails
  • Experience managing social media channels creating and publicising posts and responses
  • Experience managing website updates and new page additions
  • Must be a competent copywriter with the ability to adapt copy for various audience segments
  • Experience in project management and delivering multiple tasks to deadline
  • Confident communicator across key stakeholder groups and partners
  • Email build experience using a CRM platform or ESP
  • Experience using Website Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Must have experience using digital reporting tools such as Google Analytics and Social Bakers
  • An interest in football and knowledge of women's football would be advantageous
  • Event or ticketing marketing experience would be a plus
  • Video production experience
  • Experience using project management tools would be a plus
  • Able to work on own initiative; is accountable and reliable
